The real and the reflection!

Funktional Vibrations by artist Xenobia Bailey Apparently she crocheted these pieces before they were converted to glass tiles. That would have taken me two lifetimes at minimum!

Entering the Nature Garden at NYBG last Saturday afternoon.

anglicized name--Wildowsky. Because of Ancestry.com this past weekend my Dad, one of my sisters and I met family we didn't know we had! But there are lots of missing pieces. If anyone in my thread is a Wojtowicz or knows some who has the Wojtowicz last name, we would like to know you. We might be related. Our Wojtowicz family have the J. Wojtowicz Trucking Co. in Clifton Park, NY. My side of the family is from Norwich/Canterbury, Connecticut.

There are several of the beautiful poles around Astor Place. I believe the artist is 90 years old and still adding tiles. This one commemorates the Public Theatre just down the street.

In the 1970's this area of New London was abandoned and set for redevelopment. But the Savings Bank of New London saw it's potential and wanted to preserve some of the areas history and contribution to our country's establishment and growth. So they bought up the block and renovated every house.

So I went in search of the Eduardo Kobra Mother Theresa/Ghandi mural and within 4 blocks got these shots as well. Notice how cloudy it was, but the sun popped out just for a few minutes.

Driving around the back roads of my town just after snow fall.

Reminded me of when I used to ski. The mountain often didn't look so high or so steep or so far!

We chose to walk the dirt path just off to the right which takes you through some woods, crosses a little brook and eventually leads you to the Temple of Love and the Rock Garden!

So we'll try again next year to get the full affect. This was the best we got before the lights went out for the night!

in the West Village, New York, NY (on Morton Street). The renovated houses trade for anywhere from $15 million to $20 million right now. Houses were built in the mid 1800's. The home (not in the shot due to a large truck blocking it) immediately to the right of all of these is currently on the market for $22,750,000. It is the former home of actor Robert Deniro. Current owners have done an outstanding top to bottom renovation and the house is spectacular inside.. If anyone thinks they might like to make this property their next new home, please feel free to call me. I am happy to show it. :)
