Top-of-the-line medium to long radius piste skis with much more versatility than the thoroughbred WC IBox skis from Rossignol. As with the 9X Oversize model the X Fight 1 is an allround piste ski for the high speed cruiser that likes a blend of medium radius turns- they have a large sidecut so turn-in without fuss, the grip on the majority of firm packed piste is very adequate and the IPS Race plate offers a reasonable amount of dampening but without the sensitivity of Rossignols race siblings.
A good performer for the advanced to expert skier looking for a nippy cruiser.

I used two big sockets that fit inside each other to press out my old cover to use a cam button,and help with spark scatter.I really wanted to use the Cloyes Hex-A-Just roller set and the quick button timing cover so I could advance or retard the cam timing easily,but the notes said the cover will not clear a 8" damper so I did this instead,along with the Cloyes Billet True Roller timing set with 9-keyway crank sprocket,It was much cheaper like this anyway.

The Thrust button is not needed for a flat tappet cam,but the timing chain set #9-3500TX9 came with a captured needle thrust bearing and I did not want the possibility of any "chatter" on the bearing so I used the button.

I reworked a brake hone to get the correct interference fit between the balancer hub and crankshaft,also had to "window" the timing tab to see the marks.It's a 8" neutral balance and is very close getting the eng. in and out of the car.The balancer has a snap ring so it will not come apart if it fails.The pulley is March underdrive.
