The current record holder at The Texas Mile event; the Hennessey built twin turbo Ford GT. It set a speed of 263.3MPH, beating out Kelly Bise and his 2500HP Camaro by .1MPH! The wrap on this thing was almost as wild as the run itself!

Hennessey Venom GT Spyder
New for 2013, the team from Hennessey offers a removable hardtop and soft-top roof for their Texas-built supercar. The first production Hennessey Venom GT Spyder was just delivered to Aerosmith lead singer and former American Idol judge Steven Tyler.
Steven came to us last year and asked if we could build his Venom GT as a roadster, said company founder John Hennessey. We had to make a few structural changes to our
integrated roll cage in order to be able to fit the removable top. This increased the weight of our vehicle by about 30 pounds to a curb weight of 2,743 pounds (1,244 kilograms). We decided to increase the Venom GTs power to 1,244 bhp to maintain our 1 horsepower per 1 kilogram power-to-weight ratio.
The 2013 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder sports a Hennessey-built 7.0 liter (427 cid) twin turbo V8 power plant producing 1,244 bhp at 6,600 revolutions, making it the most powerful roadster in the world. Tested zeroto-200-mph times of 15.3 seconds make the Venom GT the quickest accelerating supercar on the market.
The Venom GT is not only one of the most powerful roadsters on the market, it is one of the rarest. Eight Venom GTs have been built, and production is limited to five cars per model year and twenty-nine cars in total.

Hennessey Performance Engineering is claiming to have built the fastest R35 Nissan GT-R in the world.
Using its GTR700 upgrade kit (which adds turbos, inter-coolers, blowoff valve and electronic boost controller),
Hennessey’s Nissan GT-R produces 725-hp with a maximum torque of 630 lb-ft.
That allows for a 0 to 60 mph run in just 2.8 seconds.
The top speed record was set at the March Texas Mile event where the Hennessey tuned GT-R went from 0 to 193.7 mph in 1 mile.
The Hennessey GTR700 can be purchased for $18,500 or $24,500 installed.
