A quilt I've been making to prototype and play with Bethany Reynolds' 'Stack and Whack' cutting technique.
I got a pair of particularly awful-I-mean-gaudy Hello Kitty prints (this one, and another with a paler lavender background and some different things for motifs) and some coordinating fabric. Then I stacked them the way Ms. Reynolds describes, and cut 11.25-degree wedges (in sets of eight), seaming them together in the manner of the classic Grandmother's Fan quilt block. It causes a kaleidoscopic effect.
This picture shows a fan after it's had its bias binding attached but before it's sewn down to its base block. On the dark fans I'm experimenting with an extra layer of thin stuffing between the fan and the block (in addition to the thicker batting that will be throughout the quilt), to see if it adds useful dimension. For stuffing I used scraps of fulled wool suiting that I've had laying about since my Society for Creative Anachronism days; you can see it peeking out in this shot.
After this stage I trim back the batting from the edges of the fan, sew it down 'stitch in the ditch' fashion along both pieces of bias binding, and then sew the radial fan-segment seams, also 'in the ditch'.
I wasnt such a Hellokitty Fan at first but after this.. Im definitely one!! LOL... Just look at the sweet colour!! Soo sweet & adorable.. hehe..

This bag was so hard to get! It sold out so quickly on the Sanrio website, and I just happened upon it in a small store in an Anaheim mall! It really reminds of Louis Vuitton, and I have used it on several occasions.
Le petit détail Hello Kitty confère à cette Dodge Camaro une allure des + viriles. Je précise qu'elle était conduite par un black au physique de garde du corps !
