this heating device exploded 3 minutes after we were heating ourselves just in front of it... very spooky.

Wow, looks like thunderstorms have developed just east of the city! Look at those anvil clouds... Interestingly, these storms have developed all along the Diablo Range thanks to the afternoon/daytime heating & lift over the hilly/mountainous terrain as a low pressure area made its way inland over the state this day/evening... Pic taken from around San Jose, CA. (Sunday, February ‎17, ‎2019; 5:26 p.m.)
*Weather forecast/update:
We were in a weather pattern where a high pressure ridge was just off the coast & extends northward into Northern Alaska. The jet stream was coming over the top of the ridge & runs southward along the coast & then turns eastward over California. This pattern was to bring cold air into NorCal but the storms were close to the coast as they drop southward & therefore don't have much moisture. This day, a low pressure area was moving thru with snow over the foothills & mountains & scattered showers elsewhere. Even during the late afternoon, interestingly, a line of t-storms have formed all along the Diablo Range. Areas of the East Bay have seen copious hail from the line of t-storms. The storms just stayed just east of San Jose. At least I saw the nice cloud structures of the storms with the anvil clouds and all. By sunset, the clouds have turned beautiful with the sunset glow/colors. Looking ahead into Monday & Tuesday, we were looking at partly sunny & cool conditions with gusty north winds. Then, another cold storm was forecast to move thru by Wednesday & Thursday. Once again most of the precip from this system was to be in the foothills & mountains with scattered showers elsewhere. By the next upcoming weekend, things look dry with slightly warmer temps...

TO MAKE PANEER
-Bring 2 litres of milk to 80C in a pot, mixing all the while to prevent scorching
-add 1/4 cup of vinegar while stirring slowly
-when curds have separated from whey, pour out the pot through a fine metal sieve.
-salt curds lightly, then press in a cheese press for 1-2 hours.
