Hawkeye thought that algae was a solid surface! Jumped over the little water showing at the edge and was in up to his chest.

Hawkeye is a big, handsome male Siamese.
Like many Siamese cats, Hawkeye can be a bit feisty, but is still a very loving cat. Sometimes he likes to sit in peoples laps, and he always loves human attention.
Hawkeye knows his name, and when he is in the mood he'll come when he is called. If the caller has treats, so much the better!
On most days, you can find Hawkeye sunning himself in the outdoor yard with his feline buddies.
He gets along well with people of all ages and other cats but may not do so well around dogs. Hawkeye would love a home of his own and with the baby blue eyes, how could you resist him? Come on down to RMFR and adopt Hawkeye today!
Hawkeye is FeLV+, but very healthy at this time. We think he was born in 2007.

These statues were at various spots around the University of Iowa campus and the downtown Iowa city area. They appear to be part of an art project, as each one featured a different design. Oddly enough, none were spotted in Badger, Cyclone or Gopher gear.

One of my favorite things to do with little kids is catch them off guard and shove a toy under their shirt. The result is almost always hilarious. And with Hawkeye it was. He said, "I'm gonna have a baby!"
This Red-Tailed Hawk swooped into my yard hunting, grabbing a sparrow.
I was sitting 4 feet away from the glass patio door when this hawk hit the glass.
It then flew 2 dozen feet to my back wall (with prey) and sat there long enough for
a few photos --"Keep a camera close". It sounded as if it hit the glass very hard, leaving it a bit rattled. Wish I'd had the sliding glass open for a cleaner shot.... or I need to clean the glass more often!! This is a time I had to:
1. Leave nature to take its course (the talons cinched that), and
2. Decide whether I should display a photo that would disturb some.
It shows the bird (no blood) held by talons. As it did bother me, I decided against it.
At least for now. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.
The Red-tailed Hawk also has significance in Native American culture. Its feathers are considered sacred by some tribes, and are used in religious ceremonies.

This is the Brownie Hawkeye that I managed to find at the Salvation Army in Davison when I visited Alycia/Flint weeks ago. I found it in the original box, and OF COURSE I had to have it for my camera collection.
Another Blender model of a mini figure. This time it is Hawkeye. The textures were painted in GIMP2 and rendered with Cycles in Blender 2.70
