Happy tongues !
It is so hard to make a choice for this week from Harry. He had so much activity and I took so many nice shots ! But I think I choose the silly one ! It was a really lucky week for him meeting twice his friend Flocke and once his sister Marlene brought him lots of action and running ! And I had fun , too, only from watching !
I wish you all a very happy Christmas !
This juvenile Great Blue Heron visited our little backyard pond two evenings in a row. He was so cute - and completely unafraid of people. I named him Harry, just 'cause. :)

Since Harry broke into the ice at the lake , just a little bit with his paws, he refuses to go to the shore . So I had to take my picture of him only nearby the lake .His face clearly says I won't come nearer any step !

I wanted to take a picture with Harry with some spring flowers. Originally I wanted him to ly down but he was not in the mood and I didn't like the light and facial expression so I choose the sitting one.

Old Harry Rocks marks the easterly start of 95 miles of stunning coastline known as the Jurassic Coast.
There are a few legends as to how the rocks got their name. One says that the devil (Old Harry) used a the rocks as a resting point.
Another says that they are named after an infamous pirate named Harry Paye, who would hide his ship behind the rocks awaiting passing merchant ships to raid.
The third legend states that a viking ship was sunk in a fierce storm, and that one of the drowned, Earl Harold, was turned into a pillar of chalk.
