How are all the beautiful bricks of Bhakatpur made, and who works in the brick factories around the city? Ratna Prasad Prajapati, the owner of KP Brick Industry, invited me for tea and told me how he started small 30 years ago and now employs 400 men and women to produce high-quality bricks. He said the cheap competition from China and India makes life difficult for them. Could I take photos on the premises? Of course, he was delighted by my interest! #nepal #brickfields #hardwork #tradition #bhaktapur

~ You'll never succeed in idealizing hard work. Before you can dig mother earth you've got to take off your ideal jacket. The harder a man works, at brute labor, the thinner becomes his idealism, the darker his mind. ~

this pic was clicked in 2011 when I was in school, got that photography bug during those holidays.....

Collection: Indonesia - The Simple Life

"Indonesia - The Simple Life" is a photography collection with mainly impressions from the more or less island Flores and its always warm hearted friendly people and the small mountain village Paci. With our income me and my wife we support children of Paci for going to school and else. You can't visit this village if you don't have family there, because for a long distance there's no hotel and no accomodation for tourists. The next city, Ruteng, is about a car drive of 3 hours away, so far the road is ok and no landslide. The photography collections starts with arrival from airport "Komodo" in Labuanbajo, Flores 2016. Labuanbajo is the destination from where you make boat trips to the Komodo dragon islands. When i first visited Flores in the year 2002 LBJ was only a backpacker travel destination with amazing diving spots. At this time the small moutain village Paci (around 6 to 7 hours car drive) had no electricity or any other comforts which are the basic of our western life.

Hardworking woman in Senegal with simply the very best smile I have seen in a very long time.

Who is a labor? A labor is a human being just like us who suffer the most, who don't have proper money to feed their family, who don't even have a proper home or shelter to live on. They suffer the most, they work harder than us they cry but still they don't give up they stand tall and push even harder. They fight back all the odds and all the ups and downs in order to earn a little bit money with which they can feed their family.

Many great wishes and respect to all of these hard working brothers and sisters

Café Frequenters No. 112

................................................

(9th December 1999)

Postcard 2.

...someone here at Café Pelles has a perfume that is good enough to eat...

I can inform you about that the lastest issue of Tempus is now available on the library...

So I think I have to go there later and perhaps read some Arnie Duck too, because that is not a sin!

Oh, By the way when in the month of April will you come an visit us? I must know when to prepare the welcoming party!

Will your hang-around crowd come too?

The cute Slender Asian guy guy working at the barber across the street just as always, everything is as always, I mean I am here drowning my sorrows in cheap coffee!

But tomorrow at this time a day 15.00 I have booked the hydrofoil to Denmark to work and surf the web a bit for free... the cyber-cafés are eating away my coffee-café money far to much these days...

Long-fellow (on the table next to me) wated it to be summer soon too, he and Bogdan wants to meet some ladies, that is all those hetrophiles think about!

I have become just as Felicity I have started to hate X-Mas too!

I can bet 200 scandic Squids that the two girls who just left the café where lesbians and a couple!

Oh one pf them went over the street to the hairdresser I hope she won´t steal my hardworking asian "pretend" boyfriend!

Baaaah! it sucks being poor!

Wow what a good looking middle ages woman that just passed me outside the window, I wonder if she would like a guy like me sitting drinking my life away on a café! No need to reply that Mr. White, I know the A. on that one!

Why doesn´t they have any free postcards at this place?most places have them, but not this one, luckily the "wafer" Gave me two "first Floor Power" promo cards and I managed to salvage two rave flyers from the other table so I have something to write on!

Why is coffee brown by the way?

...the 3rd next month my favorite piglet from Greece will be back for a visit, the others will go for a vacation to Siam for a group-vacation, so I guess it will be me Lisa by our selves, but the might be others at the pubs and discos too? the entire town isn´t going for a Thai Vacation !

There is a really dodgy guy biking around on a bicycle outside, it is probably the 5th time he passes by, he looks a bit like a vulture!

The guy over in that corner is actually one of C64-guys workmates at the computer factory downtown! why isn´t he at work?

...if you need a appointment for cutting you curly top or bottom hair I will write down the phone number to that Hair-Barber across the street it is: 979923 but don´t make a pass at the asian guy, he is mine!

Oh yeah You have Fiona! ...and is probably 100% strightophile

Oh, I just had an Idea! I should send you café Pelles phone number, then you could call and ask if there is a bloke with an east-german army coat and Mohawk that drinks coffee at their café and then they might call me or someone who looks like that (almost just as good) to come over and talk to you in the phone... wouldn´t that be cool? Please try that sometime I will pay half of the Irish/swedish long distance call fee!

Before a refill was one single Swedish-Squid then you could have one cup and 8 refills for an entire Selma Lagerlöf! no you can only get two refills and one squid over for the next party!

Horrible ins´t it°?

Wow I wonder if that "guy" passing by was a DragKing?

it looked like a fake beer-belly and a fake Mustasch, but it might be just another east german spy?

well Mr. White have a good one, I will carry on with my pointless life without your company for a while!

/ Johnny
