On July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from Britain and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the “land of the free and the home of the brave” so they can begin their American Dream.
The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. Through the Internet we are learning about and communicating with people of different nations, with different languages and different races throughout the world. Bringing the world closer with understanding and knowledge can only benefit all nations.

This photo was taken at Coeur D' Alene Lake on July 4th. The firework is probably the best of all we get around Spokane. Especially Lake and Firework makes a perfect recreational spot.

Happy 4th of July everyone! Er... for those in the United States that is. Well even if you're not from the US Happy 4th to you too! Anyways, today is the day that we declared our independence from Great Britain. I watched this really cool special on youtube about the various aspects of this great holiday and learned a few things. It's pretty cool. I'll link you to it at the end.
So for all you Americans out there, live free because that's what we fought for all those years ago. Salute a veteran, hug your family, remember and reflect on the sacrifices made to protect our freedom. Be independent. Enjoy your day and don't forget to 'splode something =P

This was a photowalk with the park district led by Jim.
St. Charles gained one of its most recognizable landmarks on September 1, 1940. The building, which cost $250,000, was built on the site of the old Fixture Factory which had burned in 1929. It was yet another gift of the Baker and Norris families to the city.
The building, designed by R. Harold Zook and D. Coder Taylor.
Art deco was an inspiration for the St. Charles building, but the end result conformed more closely to the Art Moderne movement.

This was supposedly the 2018 Fourth of July fireworks shows by Austin Country Club..
I called the club one day earlier and I was told it is a typical Texas weather, not big of a deal, fireworks will resume after the rains. So we setup our camera and wait...unfortunately, it was canceled last minutes due to thunderstorm weather in the afternoon..

The raining cloud formation was amazing as captured after the sunset on the 360 bridge, then my long time photography friend, Andy showed me his beautiful India temple photo blend-in with fireworks after post processing, so it pops up an ideal, why not blend-in the last year fireworks under this beautiful raining clouds that I have been waiting on Fourth of July for many years?.
Wa-lah, here is the outcome of the exercise of many computer mouse clicks (instead of camera shutter click): the raining cloud is real but the fireworks was taken in 2017.. seems realistic in my dreams :-).
