Der Himmel über meiner Heimatstadt gleicht einer Feuerwalze. Wegen etlicher Mengen Saharastaubes in der Atmosphäre präsentierte sich der Sonnenuntergang heute besonders beeindruckend.
The sky above my hometown is like a fire roller. Due to large amounts of Saharan dust in the atmosphere, the sunset was particularly impressive today.

Ein Sonnenuntergang am Hiroshima-Hain in Hannover zur alljährlichen Kirschblüte: Der Hain enthält eine Gedenkstätte mit 110 Kirschbäumen zum Gedenken an die 110.000 Japaner, die während des Atombombenabwurfs am 6. August 1945 in Hiroshima ums Leben kamen.
Sun set at the Hiroshima Grove in Hannover: The grove contains a memorial with 110 cherry trees in memory of the 110,000 Japanese who were killed during the atomic bombing on the 6th of June. August 1945 in Hiroshima.

Finally!!! Since 2k9 I am more or less actively taking photos. Until now I haven’t been able to capture the most precious building of my home town. I travelled a lot of places in the last three years but sometimes what you have is equal or better than the things you can possibly get.
So what is special about this building? There are a lot of facts. First there is an aslope elevator going to the top of the roof. Second there is this beautiful park in front of it where people do BBQ and have fun times and third it is the coolest building around.

Die International Neuroscience Institute GmbH (INI) in Hannover im Stadtteil Groß-Buchholz ist eine neurochirurgische Privatklinik, die 1998 von dem Neurochirurgen Madjid Samii gegründet wurde. Sie dient der Diagnostik und Behandlung von Erkrankungen des menschlichen Nervensystems. Daneben verfügt die Klinik über Einrichtungen für (tier-)experimentelle und klinische Forschung. Wegen ihrer außergewöhnlichen Architektur wird die Klinik im Volksmund auch „Hirn von Hannover“ genannt.
Das Rathaus mit einer Höhe von 97,73 Metern, einer Länge von etwa 129 Metern und einer Breite von rund 67 Metern wurde nach Plänen des Architekten Hermann Eggert auf 6026 Buchenpfählen errichtet. Die Haupthalle des Rathauses hatte eine Länge von 30 Metern, eine Breite von 21 Metern und eine Höhe von über 30 Metern.
Der wilhelminische, schlossähnliche Prachtbau in eklektizistischem Stil wurde von 1901 bis 1913 errichtet.
The town hall with a height of 97.73 meters, a length of about 129 meters and a width of about 67 meters was built on 6026 beech piles according to plans by the architect Hermann Eggert. The main hall of the town hall was 30 meters long, 21 meters wide and over 30 meters high.
The Wilhelmine, palace-like magnificent building in eclectic style was built from 1901 to 1913.
