Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at macro Mondays is Halloween. I must admit: it was a difficult one for me.
I had my concept but my props were no where to be found… Isn’t that amazing ? The very same props were laying around, useless and forgotten by my kids, just a few hours ( that is not exaggeration !!) before my photoshoot. But as soon as I decide on my concept, the tiny Lego spider I wanted to use disappeared without a trace… and it still hasn’t found until this day (but I have very high hopes, that I will locate the damn tiny thing just in time for Christmas but of course way too late for a Halloween picture…).
So here we go, today we have an alternative picture, I had to set up very fast and while i was thinking, all the time, about the first version… Which would be soooo much better, than this one… I had a prefect concept, perfect colors and who knows maybe it would be eligible for a Pulitzer price ? if only that tiny lego spider was a little bit bigger and maybe more visible… as soon as I find it I will retake my red Halloween picture, even if it is during Christmas….
So who else, has things playing hide and seek as soon as you need to find them ?

La fecha de Halloween es el 1 de noviembre, o mejor dicho, la noche del 31 de octubre al 1 de noviembre, día de Todos los Santos. Poco a poco el carácter religioso que antiguamente tenía este día de festividad, se ha convertido en una noche llena de diversión con zombis, brujas y fantasmas. Una moda importada de los países anglosajones como Reino Unido o Irlanda y como no, Estados Unidos.
En realidad la fiesta de origen celta. La fiesta celta tiene sus raíces en el antiguo festival Samhain (fin del verano) y consistía en que al finalizar la temporada de cosechas en Irlanda (solsticio de otoño) comenzaba el nuevo año celta y se hacía ritos y fiestas.

Couldn't help noticing how nicely the color of Saturday's sunrise matched all the Halloween decorations.
My first Dragonfly shots are usually of a Blue dasher,
when I saw this Halloween pennant pose for my I took few shots.
