Although Cortez is helping Floris with washing he still is busy with it a long time. He doesnot allow me to comb him. Sometimes he has hairknots which I cut away with a scissor.

That's what usually happens when Fynn is trying to groom himself. Being longhaired isn't easy. He doesn't swallow the hairknots but uses his paws to get rid of them. I find them all over the house.
The darker red areas on Fynn's tongue are erosions which are a symptom of his chronic cat flu. They are quite okay at the moment and don't bother him much. Due to these erosions Fynn's tongue doesn't have the rough texture of a normal cat tongue.
Saw this super neat hairknot this morning, on the bus to work.
Accidentally left the shutter speed at 1/15 second, but I kind of like the dynamic effect of the sight through the window.

Everytime when I empty out the washing machine I find some balled up hairs - so disgusting! Is it just me or do you also know this hair knot thing?
This man is a shaman, wearing the distinctive costume of that specialist. He holds a ritual fan, made of hornbill feathers, and he wears a necklace of expensive conch-shell beads. The strap for his machete is decorated with cowrie shells, while several metal chains hang from the skewer in this hair... knot. He wears large hoop earrings, a woven headdress, a special jacket and (not seen here) a shaman's shawl underneath an ordinary shawl. He also wears a metal bracelet on one arm and a wrist guard with an Indian rupee coin on the other. Standing up from his typical hairknot is a small piece of split bamboo, which he will later take home and keep as a memento of the fact that he conducted this important feast. This photograph was taken as he was leading a procession through the paddy fields during an Apatani feast (Murung). Each year, several Apatani families celebrate this three-week long feast, involving mithun and cow sacrifice, public chanting by the shaman and complex gift-giving between the feast sponsor and various kin and ceremonial friends. During the procession, which takes place more than a week after the large animal sacrifice on the first day, the shaman leads a long line of young boys and men belonging to the sponsor's clan. Dressed in ceremonial finery and brandishing their machetes, they walk through the entire Apatani valley (only 8 kilometres long and 4 across), visiting all nine villages and each ritual platform in each village.

Here she is! I just finished the custom modifications to the fashion/accessories and I love it!
Signature Kitty was seriously lacking to me. I LOVE her Spring Unsprung doll and lucked out in getting another one NRFB from eBay for under retail. The first thing I did was put her twin tails up higher and added the hairknots. Next, I made custom armbands with this really pretty patterned and textured black fabric. I painted her earrings, shoes and the ears on her headband. The most extensive piece to do was the collar. Finally, I did the fur for the boots.
The fur, armband fabric and gold beads were harvested from other doll clothes!

Pretty much my first self-made costume ever, pulled up/vaguely finished on th first day of the expo, in the morning, before going (with,before that, sewing till 4 am) with much help from fishonnpetune.
I look mad up there, and my wig had such hairknots that I couldn't staighten it into poneytails.
Sunday, October 19th - Packing up the bathroom in our room at the Dallas Fairmont Hotel and found the knot Chris had to pull out of my hair the day before. Never, ever, ever had a knot like this before. Crazy.
Hurt like a mofo to get it out too.
