I’ve learned that your drawing will be better when you can stop focusing on finishing your drawing so you can show other people. This is a mistake I make way too often. The best drawings are made by the people who pressed on, even after the drawing was “finished” and did their best. I’m not saying I did the best on this drawing, but I hope I’m getting better :)

Sooo, finally this is my second entry for emotion
I really worked hard for this, almost 3 days. I got my tablet yesterday (wich is huuuuuge and amazing) but I still have to get used to it. But I finished it in time, and I'm really proud f it. But I'm worried what the judges will say, I tried to improve ar my bad comments last round. o.O
I like the pose, she should look "perky" whatever that means xD Dannii told me a cheerleader would look perky and thats how I have it in mind. I hoooope it's thright, otherwise I'll surely be out.
But well, If I'll be going, I'm pretty happy with my entry, though. I like the lightening and it was really fun to edit. The dress is my fav xD
soo, I babbled enough^for now. I'll go and practice hair-drawing^^
PS: Does anyone know some good tutorials for hairdrawing? I want to try out as many as I can to improve, cause Its a lot of fun.

So I've been listening to Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown rather obsessively over the past couple weeks, so I decided to make a picture for one of their songs. This has been bopping around in my head for a little while now, and I'm happy so say I am quite pleased with how it turned out. :) The basic idea is the girl is bipolar and she feels trapped by herself and....yeah. The two up there aren't twins. XD
Oh my dear sweet lord there is so much franking in this picture, I kid you not. Girl on the left's...errr...left arm and hand are frank'd, and both of girl on the right's arms are frank'd, as is her head. Some hairdrawing, and much playing around with Gimp's many effects (woo shadows!!!!). Keys and handcuffs (in case you can't tell what they are) and edited into the background, and so are both girlies. Phew.

Um, yeah. Alice eats the cake that says "eat me" and she grows. Most of the right half of her looks kinda crappy/blurry/jagged-y and I probably should have made her a little bit bigger compared to the room, but oh well. I rather like it.
Background is edited, little cake is drawn, a lot of her hair and her arm is drawn, some franking, yada yada.
And I actually managed to make this without the use of my thumb, seeing as it got smashed in by a softball this weekend. *angst* It's rather surprising how disabled I am without it. Like, eating has suddenly becoming a challenge. As is holding a mouse steady...>.> My fingernail might actually come off, which really creeps the hell out of me. Aaand I'll stop talking about it now. XD
Maybe next time I'll actually upload something different for a change....like hunted! Speaking of which, chapter 1 now has like 50 slides. Which is good, seeing as I haven't even finished writing the chapter yet. *nods*

Yes, I know this quote and genre have been used about a bazillion times, but it is just too cute. :) Me and Aud are doing another one of those "come up with a basic idea and then both do it" thingies, except I came up with the concept this time lol. They are quite fun. ^_^ Oh and we are both using this background for the pics. I'm really excited to see hers!!!
Soooooo. Yeah. No franking (though I might make another version of it that is just as cute but with franking....hmm...), but her hair is drawn over a TON (i mean, seriously, it was just sticking to her back!)--his only a bit--and lots of pretty effects used to make them look...well...I guess pretty? Idk. XD
Adele is trying her hand at Juliet (i must say she does quite well) and Romeo is made specially for the shoot. ^_^

Another picture starring Adele, as you may have noticed. Some franking done, yep. Both legs are franked, as are her eyes and mouth. Her hair is drawn over a bunch, too. I'm particularly loving the smoke from her cigarette. I must say thanks to Hillary McCormack for the cigarette inspiration...that sounds odd, but ok. :P

So, this was obviously born from my obsession with The Dark Knight. I'd been doing a sort of photoshoot thing with Adele, and then I decided I wanted to do a Joker something. With her. (werid, I know lol) So I dressed her guy friend in the suit above (it was just the plain gray one then) and made them do the same couple of poses. I then pasted his suit over her body and went from there. Recolored the entire suit, frank'd her right arm, drew some of the hair, and edited the background. Took about an hour and a half. Phew.
Oh, and her arm looks kinda funny because she's supposed to be reaching out...I have problems with perspectiveness, so just ignore that. XD

I played in a contest thingy (I HATE VIOLIN STUFF) yesterday and gots me a beeeeeeeeeeeeg trophy/board/plaque. Still have an exam, an eisteddfod, a recital night, a duet, and TWO BIG HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS to get through.
