A hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari, chapter: Prayers (Salat): Sahih al-Bukhari, Prayers (Salat) Book 8, Hadith 118 Narrated 'Al-Sa'ib bin Yazid: I was standing in the mosque and somebody threw a gravel at me. I looked and found that he was `Umar bin Al-Khattab. He said to me, "Fetch those two men to me." When I did, he said to them, "Who are you? (Or) where do you come from?" Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah () said to me, "Shall I tell you the expression that is most loved by Allah?" It is 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi' (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)'." Ibn `Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "He who does not memorize any part from the Qur'an he is like the ruined house.''
