“Hacking” is the term used to describe non-competitive horse riding that’s undertaken outside of the arena, usually on the roads or bridleways. Most horse riders who go on a “hack” will do so for pleasure, but hacking is also a great opportunity to undertake training and fitness work. Riders will usually choose to ride on bridleways where possible, but often they’ll have to ride on the road to reach them.
This particular bridalway leads into Bestwood Country Park where pathways are clearly marked so dog walkers are aware where horses are likely to be…it’s a beautiful place to walk with many paths and your walk can be as short as 20 minutes or half a day to walk all around the whole place,…Sue :)

I guess I am a little obsessed with what extreme settings of my Posterize Slider do to closeup photos of flowers. Basically, the extreme settings do what I think are wonderful artsy things with the background objects while preserving crucial detail in the flower (or group of flowers) that are the in-focus subject.
The extreme settings of Posterize do this even with photos taken with not-very-good cameras, like the one used here--my ancient iPhone 4S.
I also set the Saturation, Contrast and Sharpness sliders pretty high.

I took a blade to my JBL headphones today so that the plug would fit in the iPhone. Amazingly it worked.
A good one for Flickr! Not the best from the chase, but, I don't know, one from the chase I guess? Milepost 333 was much nicer, but here's this. SOO 6061, CP 5012 and CP 6243 race to River Junction (Here at the extremely undershot town of Dakota) to make me very angry and not go down the ICE in good light with a loaded dresser ballast train. Reno, you would have been so beautiful...

Julian Paul Assange né Hawkins; born 3 July 1971) is an Australian editor, publisher and activist who founded WikiLeaks in 2006. Hack Fall Wood, otherwise known as Hackfall, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. During the 18th century it was landscaped in the picturesque style by landowner William Aislabie, who created views by engineering streams and pools, planting trees and building follies. Turner and Gilpin painted it, and pictures of it featured on Catherine the Great's 1773 Wedgwood dinner service. Some 19th century writers called it "one of the most beautiful woods in the country."
Built in about 1750, there is some debate as to whether Fisher’s Hall was named after William Aislabie’s head gardener William Fisher, who would undoubtedly have been deeply involved in the construction of Hackfall, or whether it is a fishermans’ rest building, due to its proximity to the river.
