Made a black foamcore 120 film back for my very old Speedgraphic camera. Originally bought the Speedgraphic to try making tintypes, but the book I got about doing that has way too many skulls and crossbones for me to feel ok about it.
So I thought I'd try and shoot 120 with it since the chances of me dying while handling those negatives is negligible. The problem is that the 120 back for the Speedgraphic is very rare and costs about what I paid for the camera in the first place. So I cobbled this together with black foamcore, hardware store parts, and a hot glue gun. It's set to shoot 8 shots per roll of 120 film.
Samples to come...shooting with it today. This is just a prototype. If it works I'll make a nicer one and post full construction details.
FYI: Black foamcore and hot glue is an amazing prototyping combination, very strong but quick to assemble.
