Jay - Garrulus Glandarius
Although they are the most colourful members of the crow family, jays are actually quite difficult to see. They are shy woodland birds, rarely moving far from cover. The screaming call usually lets you know a jay is nearby and it is usually given when a bird is on the move, so watch for a bird flying between the trees with its distinctive flash of white on the rump. Jays are famous for their acorn feeding habits and in the autumn you may see them burying acorns for retrieving later in the winter.
The word jay has an archaic meaning in American slang meaning a person who chatters impertinently.
The term jaywalking was coined in 1915 to label persons crossing a busy street carelessly and becoming a traffic hazard. The term began to imply recklessness or impertinent behavior as the convention became established.
In January 2014, Canadian author Robert Joseph Greene embarked on a lobbying campaign among ornithologists in Europe and North America to get Merriam-Websters Dictionary to have a "Jabber of Jays" as an official term under bird groups.

Esta paloma es de las especies de tamaño medio que habita en todos los bosques de El Salvador, es muy esquiva y normalmente solo se escucha su canto en medio de los arboles, la mayor parte del tiempo pasa en el sueldo caminando incansablemente y veloz además raras veces se le ve en los arboles a acepción de cuando perciben algún peligro como paso con esta especie que la encontré en un sendero del parque el Boquerón y al sentir mi presencia busco dicha rama para ocultarse.
Las Torres o Puerta de Serranos son una de las dos puertas fortificadas de la muralla medieval de Valencia que permanece
en pie.
La fachada principal -cara norte- por su ubicación gran parte del
día está en sombra, recibiendo el color del Sol la fachada interior
-posterior- la mayor parte del día.
La Puerta de los Serranos recibe el nombre porque era la puerta por donde entraban y salían los habitantes de los pueblos de la sierra de Valencia.

The painted-snipe is not related to the true snipes and differs from them in habits, flight and appearance, being far more colorful and having longer legs than the snipes. It is unusual in that the female is larger and more brightly colored than the male, with the sides of the head, neck and throat a rich chestnut brown, and a distinct black band across the breast; the male is paler and greyer.
Mostly in the animal kingdom the males are more beautiful than the females. There are exceptions of course, like in humans, where females are far more beautiful than males. This bird is also an exception. The female is more colourful. I saw a female as well, but couldn't get her well on the photo.

El Puerto de Benasque situado entre el Pico Salvaguardia ( 2.738 m) y el pico de La Mina (2707 metros) es un paso natural cortado a pico para pasar a la localidad francesa de Luchón, situado a 2444 metros de altitud.
Por este portillón pasaban los habitantes de Benasque - durante los meses de verano- a vender productos de la tierra y a comprar cosas más modernas de la ciudad francesa de Luchón.
La fotografía está realizada desde el "Plan de Aiguallut", donde está la cascada más fotografiada de Benasque.
Je me devais de faire au moins une photo du Mont-Royal dans ses habits d’automne. Je l’ai fait ce matin, sur une vue du centre-ville éteinte. Malgré le fait que c’était dimanche matin, j’ai été étonnée de voir si peu d’éclairage au centre-ville. La COVID-19 y est sûrement pour quelque chose, le centre-ville étant déserté à 95 % depuis le début de la pandémie, mais j’ose espérer que le peu d’éclairage résulte aussi d’un souci environnemental et d’économie d’énergie.
