This is one of those photos that really wasn't very special - but I loved the people I was sitting with while I drank this awesome sangria (thank you Staci!) and I loved the way the light hit the glass and cast that shadow. Even if it just makes me happy, it's good enough. LOL :-)

Can a beer be skunked? Or maybe I should say corked, since this one had a cork. That was my question last Friday night after cracking open this baby. I was all excited to try the latest edition to this year's pumpkin brew lineup: Fegley's Brewworks, Devious Imperial Pumpkin out of Allentown. I dutifully photographed the bottle, popped the cork, poured a glass, and took a sip...and then spit it out. YUCK! I can't even blame getting suckered in by the label, since it's not particularly "pretty". But the lure of pumpkin beer is strong and I just couldn't resist. Hopefully next time, I'll have better luck and won't have to break my heart when pouring out the bottle.
