Old International truck sitting along side Route 34 in northern Illinois.This is actually used as a billboard for the Pyscho Saloon,an old rusted grain elevator turned into a saloon and biker bar.It was an extremely unlikely scenario for a forgotten grain elevator,but they did a nice job and the place draws a big crowd during the summer months.With the introduction of camping this past year,the local police department has a squad car on standby....
Contrasted by the weathered old house this beautiful red tuck shines. It was lacking decals so not sure of its style but think Ford.
A few generations of Chevys gathered together for a brief discussion this Thursday !

From a distance I could have sworn this sign said Sunset Surfing. I had an entire rant already written in my head about selling surfboards to people who live on the rivers in this area. What a rip-off. The largest waves we have would be about a foot during a bad storm. Also, encouraging people to surf at sunset would be ill advised and dangerous. What a disappointment when I got up to the sign to find out it said Sunset Surfacing. Plus, it is an old sign and I don’t think the business even exists anymore. There is a nice CocaCola sign and marvelous power poles and lines for HTT, so it is not a total loss. I won’t get to use my story though.
Someone had fun modifying this old truck at one time, putting some of the biggest tires available on this old lift truck. Guessing that did a number on the transmission so this curiosity will probably continue to sit....

I pulled over to take this shot through the windscreen (windshield) as I was driving home this afternoon (4.40pm). The sunset was amazing, this photo really doesn't do it justice. If you look closely the wire connecting these 2 poles is broken at either end so I have no idea what purpose they serve? Happy Telegraph Tuesday! Way behind with my one photo a day but have all the shots taken, just need the inspiration to upload them.
Unfortunately Martin's recovery from his chest infection was short lived. Seems like one step forward & 2 steps back right now. His consultant oncologist ordered CT scans which he had yesterday. We'll know more next week when we see her for the results.

Keeping with bugs, butterflies and birds for the week - this old truck with a butterfly decal seemed to fit the bill.
Sorry I missed posting Monday night for Tuesday - was off healing some dental work but should have my teeth in through Friday!
