Newcastle upon Tyne's Grainger Market now attracts street food sellers and artisan cheese, deli and coffee stalls which complement the traditional butchers and fruit and veg stalls very nicely. Processed using iColorama for iPad. HSS, everybody! :)

Having finally limped through to the end of term on Friday, I'm trying my hardest to get in the festive spirit. This was taken a couple of weeks ago in my local shopping centre; Clare shops whilst I amuse myself taking selfies in the baubles on the Christmas tree. HSS, everybody! :)
I spotted this guy training at a local pond in the middle of Newcastle's Exhibition Park, a venue that is usually only frequented by ducks, moorhens and swans. It really was rather surreal... Processed with lashings of HDR. HSS, everybody! :)

We've had so many bees in the garden lately - this one's unashamedly face planting a flower at dinner time.
My brother-in-law presented me with a pipe and slippers last week at one of my retirement parties - I thought I'd show it off by travelling back in time and putting in an appearance at the House of Commons in 1884.
