By far the most memorable moment of our recent trip. As the young bull from my last post made his way down to the lake, the "teenaged" cow came up to greet him. They sniffed noses for a while and then both made their way down to the lake. Young love? The romantic in me likes to think so.

Acentor alpino, Prunella collaris, buscando comida despues de una gran nevada en Sierra Espuña a 1600 m,

Es el ave montañera por excelencia. Acompañante habitual de todo aquel que se interna en las altas cumbres meditrerráneas.

El acentor alpino es el único representante de aves alpinas que habita en las cotas más altas de Sierra Espuña, ya que el resto de las aves representadas en las zonas mas altas son aves esteparias como la Collalba gris (Oenanthe oenanthe), la Alondra común (Alauda arvensis) y el Colirrojo tizón (Phoenicurus ochrurus).

It is the mountain bird by excellence. The usual companion of everyone which enters the high meditrerráneas summits.

This is the only representative of alpine birds that inhabit the higher reaches of the Sierra Espuña, since the rest of the birds represented in the highest areas are steppe birds such as the Northern Wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe), the Eurasian Skylark (Alauda arvensis) and the Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochrurus).

The Hi-Sky is the worlds tallest transportable ferris wheel (78 metres). Currently located in the Werksviertel in Munich. A tour takes 30 minutes, so it moves rather slowly.

At some time after the photo was taken, this wheel was renamed to "Umadum"

The Werksviertel is the redeveloped area of the former Pfanni Kartoffelknödel (potato dumpling) factories in Munich - now home for creatives and startups.

The Canário-da-terra-verdadeiro (Sicalis flaveola) is a bird admired for its loud cracking song and is therefore often imprisoned as a captive bird (it is among the 10 most seized, according to IBAMA), even though it is considered a crime without bail by the Environmental Crimes Law (Law 9.605 / 98).

Thanks to the action of the authorities and the awareness of the population, records of the true canary have become more frequent in recent years. Particularly in the region where I was born the population is growing a lot, and we find them on the streets and sidewalks feeding on grass seeds or occasionally small insects. Even in the city of Rio de Janeiro you can see flocks in parks and gardens, and hear their unmistakable singing.

Mantis religiosa est le seul membre de la famille des Mantidae présent en Europe centrale. Ils sont répertoriés comme "en danger" dans la liste rouge des espèces menacées et sont sous protection spéciale ! Les femelles peuvent atteindre une longueur de 80 mm, les mâles peuvent atteindre une longueur de 60 mm. Les femelles sont plus lourdes et physiquement plus fortes, tandis que les mâles sont plus actifs et capables de voler. Ils se nourrissent de sauterelles, grillons et autres insectes.
