I wanted to create a party atmosphere for this celebration shot so I used my iPad as the background which gave me some light as well. The glass is very small as is the celebration confetti and I measured it with a 3 inch template to make sure it wasn't too big and it measures up fine.

Birthday present
This is an image of wild flowers in brass thimble. This was definately the most difficult assignment so far. I looked like a micro-surgeon, operating on small bouquet: converging lens was above bouquet, in my left hand was a pincette, in my right hand was pair of scissors. Also, I had to work very quickly as wild flowers wilt within fifteen minutes. I've worked on this for two days in order to be ready for the big shoot; I've practiced the speed so I could do it quickly and in enough time. At the end I've managed to capture these small wild flowers in a thimble as I've imagined it.
I wish you a lot of years of succesful work and thank you all for helping me learn so much about macro photography.

10 gummi bears having fun in the pool, celebrating 10 years of Macro Mondays - without water, because gummi bears always have to watch their shape ;-)
The pool: a filter box, 6,5 cm / 2,55906 inches in diameter. I used focus stacking (seven images) for more details. I have another one (no jelly babies) which I will upload tonight.
Zehn Gummibärchen planschen im Pool und feiern 10 Jahre Macro Monday. Ohne Wasser, weil Gummibärchen immer besonders auf ihre Linie achten müssen, aber Spaß haben sie trotzdem ;-) Sie sitzen in einer Filterdose mit 6,5 cm Durchmesser, das Foto ist ein Focus-Stacking aus sieben Aufnahmen. Ich habe noch eine andere Version (keine Gummitiere), die ich heute Abend hochladen werde.

A Happy Macro Monday everyone, and a Happy 10th!
I've put many things I've learnt through MM into this image - reflections (of a birthday card) in a lens, DoF, bokeh, sweet spots... and a little bit of post processing - well I had to flip the image, otherwise it would have said "yppah yadhtrib" which would have been really weird!
I've learnt so much in the last year Thank you MM, Janet Towbin (of course!) and fellow members.

This POV I lowered the tripod to get the top of the bench to hit along the horizon. It was pretty sky few minutes after sunset that evening. This capture was taken the same evening as the picnic table shot that I posted earlier today with the crab traps.
What better way to celebrate a 10th Macro Mondays Birthday than 5x2 dandelion seeds on the dance floor!

I wish I had more time on this one. I had to crop, and took well over a hundred shots. Still not satisfied, but I had to submit this to celebrate the group's 10 years.
