I've got that right, don't I?
A few have mentioned they never tire of fall foliage shots and I reckon we'll continue to test that theory for a while. The winds over the last few days have done their annual duty, yet the oaks endure as they tend to do, the last to give up the ghost...tho some only do so with the arrival of new buds in the spring, somehow hanging on throughout our trying winter.
Another very nice day for late October, so off we go to the canoe to enjoy a relatively rare windless day.

We've gotten lots of rain the last 2 days and should be in a more normal weather pattern for July. Good for the animals.
Wishing all my Flickr friends a very happy month of March! May you all stay safe and well and find something to smile or laugh about every day.
Just returned from an extensive get-together with friends
and family over the Holidays,
I wish you all a Happy and prosperous New Year :-)
The cycle of poems "The 13 Months"
from German author Erich Kästner.
A small, nicely created Hardcover book that I love very much.
Sorry, in German only.
Aus dem Gedichtzyklus "Die 13 Monate" von Erich Kästner.
Ein schmales, gebundenes Büchlein, das ich sehr liebe.

Many nights we prayed
With no proof, anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now, we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains
Long before we knew we could, whoa, yes
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles you can achieve?
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe
Oh-oh-oh
Mmm, yeah
We have a grey, grey weather, the worse month November is soon here. Time to sit indoors, light candles, drink tea, read a good book.
Happy weekend dear friends.

Hello Everyone,
Happy May Day to one and all!
This tulip image was taken last year. I liked its gentle, warm colours.
There are no tulips to photograph yet this year, but the leaves are emerging. What we need is a pile of rain and lots more sunshine. Please send if you have any to spare, especially the rain! )0:
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you!
Have a fabulous day and weekend!

I was digging around in my old photos looking for a fence. And, I found one.
Happy New Years to everyone. I, for one, am hoping the new year brings a little joy into my life and better health as well. What are some of you hoping for.
We had no snow so far this season, so i had to go back to last winter for this picture. Merry Christmas and Happy New year everyone.

This is an outside beach bar from the Holiday Inn, Corpus Christi/Padre Island, Texas. I was there early trying to get a sunrise shot but I was a little bit late..:( I can't image it being a lot of fun in this place, as it's the windward side of the Island. I was worried about my gear because I could feel sand and spray getting on me.
Looks like we're in for a wet week here.
A morning shot of Corpus Christi and one of there marines. It was such a perfect morning to be out on the water. The day before, the water was so rough the tour boat couldn't even get out of the slip. Happy hump day everyone

I saw this downtown the other day and thought it looked pretty cool
Monday morning I'm volunteering for the Eco Festival in Austin. I do it almost every year. I'm just a tree huger at heart..;)

..lol..You had to know I took more than one drive by fence shot..;).However, I think this is the last one I'll post. They others don't do as much for me. This one didn't either until I ran it through Topaz Studio.
This is advertisement for a resort here in Wimberley, Texas. As I've said before, there are a lot of creative people in this town. I did some volunteer photography last night for the Waller Creek group. They had an event on the creek. I'm going to post some of the shots here during the week.
Stanley" Farmhouse Pizza in Dripping Springs, Texas
Great Pizza, funky place..;)
Here's what they say on the Internet: Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza was started by friends looking for a new way to take care of their families while enjoying what they do and where they do it. The pizzeria is on Ceres Park Ranch and is named after it's first bull, Stanley. We offer handcrafted, artisan pizza using fresh ingredients found at local farms and gardens whenever possible. We are proud of our beer list that features breweries here in Austin as well as across the US.

This is a shot for the older part of Paris, Illinois. A little town in the south. The walls are crumbling but there's a bench..:)
The three happy beads measure a total of 5.71 cm (2.25 ins) across.
After several attempts I was just happy for the beads not moving!
