"L'esilio dell'anima verso l'ignoto" è una potente metafora artistica che affonda le radici nella filosofia antica (Platone vedeva il corpo come una prigione dell'anima) e si manifesta in varie forme attraverso i secoli, simboleggiando la condizione umana di alienazione, la ricerca spirituale e il confronto con l'ignoto o l'aldilà.
L'esilio è visto come un "paradigma dell'esistenza", un viaggio incessante che allontana da un punto di origine ma mantiene una costante ricerca di un "luogo dell'anima" in cui sentirsi a casa. Il confronto con l'ignoto e la mortalità ha portato gli artisti a esplorare la possibilità della trascendenza o della liberazione spirituale, come nel caso di T.S. Eliot e la sua svolta verso la religione, o di artisti che vedono l'arte come un modo per guardarsi dentro. Movimenti come il Simbolismo e il Surrealismo, che si oppongono al realismo per creare mondi fantastici e onirici attraverso allusioni simboliche, sono particolarmente adatti a rappresentare concetti astratti come l'anima e l'ignoto
The Ha’penny Bridge is the best known of Dublin’s bridges. It was built in 1816 and was the first iron bridge in Ireland. It is a single span structure with cast iron railings and decorative lamps. It was originally named the Liffey Bridge but is now called the Ha’penny because until 1919 to cross it there was a half-penny charge.
Accepted as the symbol of Dublin, the Ha’penny Bridge (officially Wellington Bridge after the ‘Iron Duke’) was opened in 1816. Cast at Coalbrookdale in Shropshire in England, the bridge acquired its unofficial moniker from the toll paid to cross the river – one old half penny. The bridge was the only pedestrian bridge on the Liffey until the Millennium bridge further up was opened in 2000.

Made of cast iron, the bridge was cast in Shropshire, England. Originally called the Wellington Bridge (after the Dublin-born Duke of Wellington), the name of the bridge changed to Liffey Bridge. The Liffey Bridge (Irish: Droichead na Life)[1] remains the bridge's official name to this day, although it is most commonly referred to as the Ha'penny Bridge.
Die Ha’penny Bridge (oder Half Penny Bridge, offiziell Liffey Bridge) ist eine 43 m lange, knapp 3,7 m breite Fußgängerbrücke aus dem Jahr 1816, die im Zentrum der irischen Hauptstadt Dublin den Fluss Liffey überspannt und dabei den Stadtteil Temple Bar mit dem Bachelor´s Walk verbindet. Ihren volkstümlichen Namen erhielt sie aufgrund der früher zu entrichtenden Fußgängermaut; die offizielle, aber im Alltag kaum verwendete Bezeichnung lautet Liffey Bridge. Die Brücke ist eine der meistfotografierten Sehenswürdigkeiten Dublins und gilt vielfach als das Wahrzeichen der Stadt.

Well... I didn't peak Ha Ling after work today... I did make it to Wideman's Gap though... That's all I had the energy for haha... And it was WINDY. I have hiked a lot of things in my day and never ever saw or experienced wind like that haha.
Hạ Long Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2 (600 sq mi), including 1,969 islets, most of which are limestone. The core of the bay has an area of 334 km2 (129 sq mi) with a high density of 775 islets. The limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years of formation in different conditions and environments. The evolution of the karst in this bay has taken 20 million years under the impact of the tropical wet climate. The geo-diversity of the environment in the area has created biodiversity, including a tropical evergreen biosystem and a seashore biosystem. Hạ Long Bay is home to 14 endemic floral species and 60 endemic faunal species.
