I just sat at my desk and stared until I came up with another idea for a card that reflected some of the beauty we saw this week! This is the Floating Leaf bg stamped on Basic Grey paper and embossed with white. Of course, the Heart Wing butterfly in two layers using two different BG papers. I gave him a branch to rest on, HA's Long Branch. Parted with the rest of my precious HA green pearls. I hope it honors those amazing artists who shared their work with us this past week.
Masculine cards are tricky! I had pretty fall flowers on this card and realized that might not be very masculine!! Used three BG stamps: Raindrop, Woodgrain and Four Leaf Grid. The bird is from the Trees, Birds and Messages set. The bird is sitting on the Long Branch image. The sentiment is on my new Fancy Tags Nestie set, my newest toy! Love it!

Anyone here old enough to remember that movie! It was a goodie! I think it was before my time too, but I love those old vintage movies, and who doesn't love Cary Grant flicks! George Clooney reminds me of him. Don't you think?
Sharing and TFL!
I was in the mood to make a distressed type card. So here it is, I really like the blue/turquoise against the brown. I always see the stamp of the long branch used with an owl, so I thought I would try a butterfly instead. I added a bit of stickles to the flower centres. All Hero Art stamps. See tags for details.

I have finally tried digi stuff. The background & owl are digital the rest is HA stamps. I made this card for Jacob, Eric's little brother. TFL
I recently got some more HA stamps at an expo in Brisbane so just had to use this bird template from HA with the cloud background. TFL
I wanted to use some of the designer paper from K&Company that I recently purchased. The reverse side is as pretty as the front. The large labels are made with Nesties; the smaller labels are from the Slice. I distressed around the kraft label with Tattered Rose after stamping it with the Screen Shadow stamp. The sentiment is from Friendship Messages. I stamped the Long Branch for the Heart Winged butterfly to rest on. The main card is a HA notecard.

Mosaic created with fd's Flickr Toys.
I did a mosaic of the 4 images to make it easier to see. Sorry about all the postings....
This is a card I made to teach at my local Stamp store in Montreal next month. It is called a "Never Ending card" . When you open the 2 front panels, you get to the second panel, which can be opened in the center to reveal the next panel (3rd). Open this panel vertically to reveal the back of the card, where the greeting and message is written. If you open this last panel in the center horizontally, you get back to the front panel and continue again.....
I have made a tutorial for it on my blog (http://www.louisech.blogspot.com/) last year. You can view it here: louisech.blogspot.com/search/label/Tutorial

My daughter shared with me that the members of her book club are a bit envious of the bookmarks I had given her for Christmas. I told her I would free them from their folded scraps of paper and old receipts!! I used glossy cardstock and a mixture of alcohol inks (chili pepper red, oregano and mushroom) as well as copper metallic and pearl mixatives. I tried swirling the cards through a mixture on a glass plate, but found that using a cotton pad with drops of the inks appliled to it worked the best. Because the back of the bookmark got smudged and splashed, I mounted them on copper glossy cs, white side up, so the backside of the bookmark is pretty copper. Stamped the images with white StazOn and added liquid pearls for dimension. Bought the tassels at Hobby Lobby, 3 for $2.00. I love the way they turned out. This was a project I wanted to do for the tags challenge, but did not have the time.
Made this card for this months challenge of Hero Arts, with one of the sketches in my thoughts.
For the background I used CG122 "Branch Background". For the branch with bird on the oval I used one of the creatables by Marianne Design. In the background you see a stamped branch by Hero Arts. The berries are pearls colored with a Copic Marker. The Message is CM003 Stamp it: "Messages".
