“If we expect to “know” the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, we may have a hard time seeing the whole picture, since the truth is a willful construction that allows us often merely to “guess”.

Quote ― Erik Pevernagie

Yep....this would be Me. I've had a few friends wanting me to post a pic of me....and as much as I didn't want to, here it is. I really don't like being on the other side of the lens!! And this can only be viewed by friends and family.....I just hope I don't lose a bunch of contacts over this post : ))

Hope everyone had a great Saturday!!

Happy Monochrome Thursday!!

I guess I'm doing a series on Commercial Street in Springfield! I didn't realize that until I looked back over this past week, and saw a theme. The old buildings are fascinating, and many are getting a second, third, or fourth life...

It is a candle lantern on my balcony table. I hope you have had fun with my little guessing game.

Congrats to Romero, elfenstaub, Cajaflex, barbara fizek and Stefano Demurtas, they were right with their idea!

Robert was near, but it is no chinese red lantern same for caroline gray.

Chevy? Whatever she is, she was once stunning. Along Highway 2, West of Grand Forks.

Driving by a park in our neighborhood, the kids and I noticed a group of geese and gulls just standing around on the frozen pond. We pulled in, for the first time in months due to the cold, to give them a few treats...and to catch up with our bird friends.

As we walked over to the pond, this trio came waddling up. Once we pulled out the food, the one to the right turned it into high gear and hauled past his buddies to make sure he was first for the coming spoils. Some might call him pushy...but I guess he's just a goose who knows what he wants...

Have a wonderful Saturday, my friends!

This is a lamellophone instrument played with the performer's mouth and plucked with a finger to create a sound

First seen in China already in the 4th century B.C, which classifies it as one of the oldest instruments.

Guess what it is?.

If a man writes a book, let him set down only what he knows. I have guesses enough of my own.

(Goethe)

I know this should be guessed by the first viewer from the gwv group.

the man with 101 jokes at the tip of his toung!

i was very surprised and pleased with the outcome of this shot..

i was playing around with my mini camera..

no fixing..no photoshop..i did crop it a little..

what is it? or is it pretty obvious..?

Endlessly gliding around looking for prey., guessing and photographing the precise moment a bird of prey rolls into a dive is as much luck as it is judgement

This one obliged whilst I was following him through the lens., but I don't mind admitting I missed a lot of potentially good shots by not paying attention at the vital moment

A grab shot as this Buzzard was mobbed by Crows about 50ft above my head...the hapless raptor was then mobbed by a flock of angry Lapwings...great to see...Musselburgh Lagoons

ANSH 119 #11 "Guess what this is..."

And now the reveal: It is a Danish dough whisk, primarily used in breadmaking. If you don't want to use a stand mixer for the initial mixing this will get things started without having to get your hands all gooey. How far will depend on on how stiff the dough is. Eventually though, you do have to get your hands in to knead the dough. This one is sold by the King Arthur Baking Company, and the mark is their logo. I use their flour, which has higher protein content than most other brands, and I found this for sale in their online store.
