I went along to the Science is Vital rally outside the treasury. Lots of good speakers to raise awareness about the potential funding cuts to science coming up.

A family group pic on the stairs that led down to the Rubicon Point Lighthouse. This was along the Rubicon Trail around the D.L. Bliss State Park. The lighthouse has the highest elevation of any American lighthouse. It stands 6,300 feet above sea level! This was during our 2nd full day of our camping trip here. Me and my family's annual camping trip this year was at D.L. Bliss State Park. It is located on the western shore of Lake Tahoe just north of Emerald Bay. Our camping trip was from July 14-17, 2014. We had enjoyed our stay, despite the strict rules and regulations. We had hiked along the Rubicon Trail, enjoyed the beach life at Lester Beach and went to the city of Tahoe. We had so much food and BBQ! We had a wonderful time together exploring and enjoying the area around Lake Tahoe and D.L. Bliss State Park. (Wednesday morning, July 16, 2014)
