This is a magnetic spinner that I bought to my son some years ago. Its diameter is 6cm. It looks like a space ship of some Japanese anime (such as Grendizer), therefore I used a blue background, trying to mimick the sky.

I hope that you will like the result. Have a nice and happy Macro Monday, dear friends. ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

My new version for Grendizer! So far, the biggest creation I've ever made (420 mm). This is my tribute to this classic Super Robot.

If you like it, please vote for him on Lego Ideas:

Here is my Grendizer (Goldrake/Goldorak)! Being a real legend in many countries, this guy truly deserves a proper treatment, so i've made the biggest creation i've ever made so far: 320 mm is a good help while recreating the typical curved surfaces of 80ies Super Robots, but it has been also a challenge, trying to reach a good compromise between aesthetic, solidity and poseability.

Don't Ask to use any of my Horse Photos for virtual stables or similar websites. The answer will be NO.

I went through my shots from the first day of the Equestrian Club's contest, and luckily I did find a few decent shots from that day. Which as far as I'm concerned was the best day weather wise. We're currently having a really bad dust storm for the past two days and it may go on until tomorrow or until Friday, which is why the fourth and final day of the contest still did not take place.

I only had a problem with the blown highlights because of the noon's sunlight. I used the dodging and burn tool to relieve some of those effects on the white fence in the background and also I had to crop a lot out of the original shot. Color and sharpness edited in Lightroom.

This was a planned photo. But I went to the spot at a late time, so I didn't get enough red streaks on the right side. Since most people at this time usually leave Kuwait City not head towards it.

I tried different compositions and also portrait orientation in addition to different shutter times and aperture values ranging from 30 seconds on F/22 to a 1 minute BULB on F/36. This does have the big black space on the left but I wanted to show all of the white streaks. I do have a cropped version of this same photo. If you have any helpful suggestions on this please let me know.

This is my bad guy to fight the Kitten Viper. I guess a Grendizer vibe but with less black (I still fell it needs more black, hmmm)? Black stickers probably would've done the trick. In complete and utter praise of Japanese toys. Some lines like Diaclone the garish colours are too primary, the later Transformers versions with a wider palette sit more comfortably. But things like Marzinger are perfect in their striking, jarring colours.

Grendizer/Goldrake head. The full body could be 30-32 cm tall, and yes, I'm making it too

The new Toyota FJ Cruiser is actually based on an old version of the Land Cruiser called the (FJ40 Land Cruiser) way back in the 70s. I like this SUV for it's mix of neo and retro design, I also like the colors it comes in, this was my third attempt panning one during my practice....as they say, third time's a charm. =)

reviving childhood memories. Grendizer & Mazinger Z (Tranzor Z). The photo is a bit out focus with a low color tone to depict 1980s tv quality.

Here the mighty Grendizer stands ready to take on all the enemies of the toy collection.

The lighting here was very simple, behind the toy is a large eastern facing window, and a reflector was placed underneath the toy to open the shadows a wee bit.

I woke up this morning, opened my curtains to see the sky full of fluffy cotton clouds, I picked up my gear and took my brother's car to Kuwait City to photograph. I must admit this is the first time that I've actually taking photos this time of day, but it was very much worth it.

This is a 3 exposure HDR photo, processed in Photomatix Pro 3.

Took a lot of pics, will be uploading new stuff ......no cars for a while, I have to apologize in advance for my car photography fans. It will just be a while. =)

So today I decided to do a bit more work on Grendizer, he sure has an electric personality! :P

So the lighting for this was pretty simple facing him at camera left was my octobox, from behind and camera right we have a yellow gelled light, and finally a flash to camera left to bring some seperation and to give a bit more light to the lightning.

My brand new shiny happy Grendizer.

One light directly above camera and angled towards the toy provided the lighting, tw gridded and gelled flashes behind and to the left and right of the toy provided the orange lighting.

Since Grendizer got me in the mood to do a bit more of lightning so I decided to take a photograph of Great Mazinger's lightning attack.

The main light was to camera left, there was an orange gelled strobe camera left and behind the toy, and then to camera right there was another strobe to bring out the details in his arm and the wings.

NOTE: This is the most viewed photo on my stream (31,000+ views)

Trying out something different from HDR and cars on my stream. This may not be all that different from some photos when I first started posting on flickr. My Anime set has been dead for a while now and I thought it was high time to revive it.

Of course this time my shots will be more elaborate and creative than just posting against a colored board. This is my first in a long series of Grendizer shots that should be a lot more fun than simply taking them in my model studio.

For this shot I had to sit on the ground and with my 18-55mm lens because it has better macro capabilities than my 24-105mm lens. I tried to frame Grendizer and the towers until I found the desired composition, the afternoon sun gave me this great light to work with, that gave lovely shadows, there were clouds actually in the background but they were too far and hazy to actually show, they do show in another photo I took closer which I'll post another time.

As for post processing, only some light color work was done in Lightroom and added some sharpness and clarity. Other than that the photo is untouched.

Tagline: Grendizer has come to save us from the over blown prices!!

Lego Brickheads and similar are quite popular, so I've tried a little bust with big head for Grendizer (Goldrake or Goldorak) that is a variation with improvement of the big Grendizer moc I made in 2020. I enjoyed the building process, so I'll make some more in the future. Mecha Head - 01 Grendizer

[ENG] Here is my 2020 Lego production. Quite a prolific year for me: the extra free time was the only good thing of this pandemic. For the future, you can expect micro and mid-sized mechs and I'd like to try an astroship as well ๐Ÿ˜.

I would like to apologize for the lack of new images over the past few months or so. If I am honest, I have been very busy preparing for my second show of the year at Galerie-Sakura in Paris, France.

This is my first non Star Wars based show in a very long time. Galerie-Sakura gave me the opportunity to work with a toy that I was not too familiar with. It was difficult and challenging to work out of my comfort zone, but I think in the end the results turned out quite well.

Goldorak (more commonly known as Grendizer in North America) was a cartoon created by Go Nagai in the 1970s. The majority of the shots I created for the show are similar to my Cloned Photo collection, with their own twists of course!

This particular image is one I've recreated a few times now. It is a recreation of the Neil Leifer's infamous Ali vs Liston "Phantom Punch".

For those of you who may be interested, the show will be running until January 17. For those of you who cannot attend, I will be posting more of my Goldorak images in the coming weeks.

I don't know if it's possible to do smaller.

He's big, he's bad, and he has a giant bladed staff to unleash hell upon his enemies!

Lighting for this is a softbox at an angle to toy almost sitting on top of the camera, with two blue kicker strobes behind and to the sides of the toy.

A new entry in my Dark Series! Yay! it's been over 6 months. I have more Jason ideas coming up, hopefully that will start me taking new photos. Which I haven't done in a couple of weeks, not since the Mustang shoot anyway.

The model here is my cousin Taytay. I used my 580EXII pointed away from my subject as the master trigger for my 430EX which my brother was holding to my left and that way we got this scary lighting. We were in an open place so background would come out pitch black as planned.

This is the same moon photo that I used for Grendizer and Red Moon. Taken with my EF 70-200 F2.8 IS lens.

Not really jumbo, but I'd love to make a jumbo if I could!
