Bob Marley – One Love / People Get Ready (1977) 🌍🎶

Fun fact: “One Love” was first recorded in 1965 as a ska song before Bob Marley reimagined it into the reggae classic we know today. The 1977 version blended Marley’s lyrics with Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready,” creating one of the most uplifting anthems ever written. 💛

“One Love” became a global symbol of unity and peace — it was even played at Marley’s funeral and later named the BBC’s Song of the Century in 1999.

The official video, filmed in London, shows people from all walks of life — a perfect reflection of the message: “Let’s get together and feel all right.”

A crisp well branded design. A bit of brushed copper and brass give it just a little kick without distraction.

Almost up the bridge walkway...tis a long walk, and it was WINDY!! Got pretty chilly at the top, but after the heat of the summer, was fantastic...

Paps of jura obscured by rain clouds from the sound. The squally winds came down to us about half an hour later, along with a little rain, but nithing too severe. The wind later veered from a westerly to southerly, so our anchorage was less secure and we motored around to Port Ellen for midnight. Tight berth, but quite welcome, as the weather seemed frisky.
