The work was developed from a body cast that was then modeled in wax by the artist. Using the traditional lost wax process, molds were made and the sculpture was cast in bronze. The figure is placed on a large scale plinth and is designed so that it can be exhibited out of doors.

Christian Maclay and Sarah Howard work together on a new project featuring collaged images, scanned and printed as inkjets, which are then mounted with various collected fabrics, giving it a modern Japanese scroll feel.

These are the sculptures in the McCollum show in Chelsea that I worked on at my work. They looked awesome and it was cool to listen to people in the gallery discuss how pretty they were. I was happy, may not yet be my work up in the gallery, but it was definitely a cool moment for me.

David Norr will be leaving Graphicstudio for MoCA Cleveland. We are very sorry to see David go, but we are excited for his future with the soon to be expanded Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art. In this photo David collaborates with artist Trenton Doyle Hancock on a print edition to be produced at USF Graphicstudio.
