Company logo and identity project

I am happy to have been commissioned to design a new logo and identity for kobebeef, Marc Rinderknecht's Zürich-based web design & development studio. Fresh and contemporary, the logo aims to make you look twice, coupled with a palette of strong, fresh colors. Logo is based on FF Netto, paired with Abril Text.

US Obesity Rates as percentage of people considered obese, divided by age group and birth year. Designed in histogram coxcomb style. Zero-values represent missing data years. Heights represent the percentage of obese people at that age.

The benefits of the coxcomb is the arrangement of the data is in one place showing the increasing trend of obesity as age increases. The data however is exaggerated by the area increases based on the coxcomb, and can be misleading. But the exaggeration works in the favor of making the increasing trend more visible.

The directional logo hanging from the ceiling is simplicity itself.

Graphic design classes in media room for 2017 photoshoot

This is my high school senior t-shirt design which I submitted but sadly was not chosen. The mascot of my high school is seagull and I was in Class of 2009. As you can see, I combined these two ideas into one. The topmost yellow symbol-stream in the background spells "Staten Island Tech", the name of my school. The meaning behind this design is that the graduating class will be like a strong seagull, gliding up toward a bright future.

A custom website design project for Cirana and Lapis brands done under Coalition Technologies

From the beginning of the twentieth century, the brush letter effect became very popular in type styles and hand designed display headings. I don't have this in color as I copied it from a January 1933 copy of Gebrauchsgraphik, an advertising art periodical published in Germany until 1944. After WWII it was started up again as Novum Gebrauchsgraphik, and then shortened to Novum.

I have two 1933 issues that are extremely interesting. The January issue interviewed several of the prominent advertising artists of the day in Europe and several of the articles are in both German and English.

A poster to advertise SEU's computer workshops in Jan 09.

My goal was to design a poster that looks very different from the stuff on campus: big, bold, easy to read. Looked to Swiss poster design for inspiration.
