More of the series from the town of Gruene. I didn't go in this place, but after reading about them on the Internet, I wish I had. It sounds like Thursday night is the best time to go because they give out free samples of food and wine with live music.

The original of this one has had a surge of visits over the last few days, so I thought you all might like to see it again - with a few subtle changes.
at the back of our house, and Peter has every intention of making wine! As so many of English vineyards are now producing award winning wines, it should, theoretically, be possible for us to do the same! Not holding my breath though....
The late evening sun casting shadows on on an adventurous tendril of grapevine as it tumbles over the back fence of a suburban garden.
This lumbering beetle gets big by eating grape leaves, though grapevine beetles rarely do much damage to grape vines in contrast to the destructive Japanese beetles. Female grapevine beetles lay eggs on rotting tree stumps - including maples, oaks and elms - and the larvae tunnel down into the decaying roots where they feed on that soft woody tissue there for two years before pupating and emerging now as adults during the warm summer season.
The sun sets on the historic Grapevine RR Station, as it transforms into a commuter nucleus of the DFW metroplex.
It's exciting to see more life flowing into Grapevine, but at the same time, I think we're losing our charm. But, change is inevitable everywhere. 😞
A Phalaenoides glycinae Moth sitting on my patio strp. It seemed a little reluctant to go out into the hot sunshine for quite a long time enabling me to get a half decent shot. And yes my Grapevine are showing signs of both the caterpillars andn perhaps a viral disease, as well as having some grapes. HWW
