Grape Mahonia has its blue, Autumn berries at present and some rich red and golden leaves. It also has green leaves, buds and yellow blossoms. It gives all the seasons at once. As shot.
Oregon grapes, that is. This golden-crowned sparrow was perched on the flowers of the Oregon Grape, snacking away. (Oregon grape is a type of holly)
These grapes were left behind after a visit from my youngest grandsons. The boys made short work of the green grapes before starting on the red ones, to me both were equally delicious.
Some grapes from our neighbor's vine, nearly ready to pick and eat. There's something interesting on the surface of the grape in the center -- not sure what that is.
Valley grape harvest is over...Raisins, wine grapes and table grapes done for another year. These are mostly table grapes except for the green which are wine.
