My wife and I took Bart(San Frans transit system) into the city last night because I wanted to shoot the super moon behind the Bay Bridge. Unfortunately those images didn't work out so well but before descending the stairs to the train I snapped this shot of a cable car on California Street. Every time I look at this shot I think it looks slightly off vertical but it's actually correct, I guess it's an angle issue. Another issue I don't really like is how heavy the stars are, I should have dropped the aperture a bit. I hope you all had a great weekend!!

On April 2,2019 Google plus shut down! All pages were deleted, together with my weekly fix the Google+ page of the Ikarian Hiking Club «OPS Ikarias»!

Days before it went down, I gave myself the trouble to save a series of screenshots from their wonderful posts since they started up this beautiful but ill-fated page in 2016. Here they are, all assembled in one image -- «in memoriam» 😢

Most of these posts came from:

1) The OPS Ikarias blog

2) The group «Ορειβάτες Πεζοπόροι Ικαρίας»on facebook

3) Simon Claridge's blog articles tagged "Ikaria"

4) Nana's blog

5) My blog

(very proud 😘 )

It was beautiful page. Not functional as social media, but it looked really good. So long, so long! 😞

The water's fine.

I'll give you

If you're not

In by then,

Guess I'll have to

Count to ten."

Once again I visited my cousin, who is the manager and chef de cuisine at the world famous Café Sacher in Graz/Austria. But this time I was asked to make some promo pix for the garden inside. This images will apear soon on some rollup banners in front of the entrance of the restaurant at the Herrengasse!

“The world is a looking-glass, and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. Frown at it, and it will in turn look sourly upon you; laugh at it and with it, and it is a jolly kind companion; and so let all young persons take their choice.”

Hi guys, I've started working on a new series of images called "Liquid Glass". This is the first shot from the series. Enjoy and share! :)

Day 274

Last week, a friend over at GooglePlus gave me the following assignment:

Please create an image based in these lyrics from the Three Days Grace song Animal I have become

I can't escape this hell

So many times I've tried

But I'm still caged inside

Somebody get me through this nightmare

I can't control myself

I have loved Three Days Grace for a LONG time and was going to do an image based off of this song, but I had not decided which lyrics to use.

Definitely my #LyricallyInspired shot for this week. Song --> www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqds0B_meys

Hangouts On Air: Stream View (left), Full-screen Mode (right)

Google just announced a way for a limited number of people to broadcast their hangouts.

googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/google-92-93-94-95-96-97-...

"93. Hangouts On Air

Google+ users already use Hangouts to create intimate onscreen experiences—with family members, prayer groups, even people with certain medical conditions. But sometimes you want to speak to a large audience, or alternatively, view as a spectator. In these cases a public broadcast is what’s needed, so today we’re introducing Hangouts On Air.

The setup is simple enough: just start a normal hangout, and you’ll have the option to broadcast and record your session. Once you’re “On Air,” up to nine others can join your hangout (as usual), and anyone can watch your live broadcast.

We’re starting with a limited number of broadcasters, but any member of the Google+ community can tune in. In fact: we’ll be hosting our very first On Air hangout with will.i.am on Wednesday night, September 21. For more information visit will.i.am’s or my profile on Google+."

Disney's Boardwalk Resort featuring a nice post-rain sunset. This was the first picture I have ever posted to Google+ before putting it up on Flickr. I think in the future I will just upload to both at the same time.

Find me on Google+

At first I was viewing Google+ as just another place to put a link and try and bring a few views to my photostream- but lately I have been thinking of it as it's own entity and enjoying the feedback and commentary I've been getting over there. So are you on Google Plus yet? Need an invite? I have a few left- so get em' while they last if you're interested. Just follow the link HERE. Already on Google plus? Send me a link so I can circle you then!

2013 long exposure San Francisco Photowalk where I depended on the kindness of new friends to take me far from public transportation to this place--Drake Beach in Point Reyes. So much fun hanging with young talented, passionate, photogs. Thanks especially Dennis and Josh for patience with endless chatter. But quiet time here was sublime. Thanks Nathan Wirth (nice guy btw) for organizing.
