All appliances or “white goods” (clothes washers/dryers, refrigerators, ovens, water heaters, air conditioners, etc) become valuable sources of scrap metal when they are no longer wanted. However, some components in appliances contain hazardous materials that can damage human health and the environment if they are not removed and properly managed. Hazardous components may include: encapsulated polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs); Freon, Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydro-chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) and other refrigerants; mercury in switches and temperature control devices; Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) in metal-encased capacitors; used oil from compressors and transmissions; and any other material that is a regulated hazardous waste. Please dispose of these items properly.

Once again I visited my cousin, who is the manager and chef de cuisine at the world famous Café Sacher in Graz/Austria. But this time I was asked to make some promo pix for the garden inside. This images will apear soon on some rollup banners in front of the entrance of the restaurant at the Herrengasse!

Hey folks! I'm going to be taking a little break from Flickr and Facebook, and focusing on my Google+ OHYEAPHOTO page. I will be posting my photography on there for a week as a trail, and depending on how it goes I might move there exclusively for the time being. We will see.
I will start with a set of my shots from the new Lion King wing at Disney's Art of Animation resort. I think I will still post one of those shots on here tomorrow for old time's sake...but the rest of the shots will be up on Google+ only. Please come on over and check it out!

If you DON'T have a G+ account...well, it's time for you to get one! There are some great photo sharing options on there, and it's a worthy alternative to Flickr and FB.
This is just an experiment for now...there's still a bit of an interaction curve when it comes to G+ but I am hoping to take some steps to decrease that by involving as many of my online friends as possible, and by posting compelling content and interacting more. I urge you to help me out and do the same! Thanks!

Last evening in Pacifica and I missed the good light. I positioned myself so the post lights on the pier were just visible but I had to choose between making the lights "stars" or softening the waves. I did a little blending to show more detail on the side and bottom of the pier. As I was setting up one big wave had me running and I ended up with my tripod legs getting tangled between my legs sending me to the sand, after looking up I was relieved to see only two people watching gravity humble me.

Today I wanted to visit the Kölnbreinsperre but unfortunately the tunnel is closed till May so i stopped by at this waterfall. One can't really see the height of 300m here, cause it's falling down in some steps. Was also a bit windy down there because of the water falling that deep but really nice place there, was worth it!
