1977 sunrise over Lake Superior from Lamb's Campground in Schroeder, Minnesota. Dad and my brother Dave were canoeing in the Boundary Waters and my sister Barb and I and her two boys were camping in Schroeder, waiting to pick them up.
Dad died a few years later at age 57 when an aneurysm brought him down at work. It was the day after he and I had started planning our own trip to the Boundary Waters. I still haven't done the trip; probably never will.
Photo was taken with a Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic SP-1000 35mm SLR Camera with a RMC Tokina 80-200mm 1:4/55 Zoom Lens. It was put on Photo CD in 1994.

I am working on setting up my photography goals for the year. Starting next week I have decided to have three defined days: mmmmm Monday when I will work on shooting food, Wandering Wednesday - I will take photos anywhere but on my block and Flash Friday when I will work on learning flash. I also have intentions to do more portraiture work this year but haven't included it as part of my project. Anyone is welcome to join me or I'd love to hear what your photography goals are for the year.

I was in the wide awake club at 4am this morning -- my beautiful first Grandbaby is in labour with her first baby and my first GreatGrandbaby!! --- I am over the moon that I am still on this beautiful planet to be able to feel this impending rush of love :-))

Every autumn I enjoy walking around with my camera looking at the fall colours. Leaves change colour in the fall, because of changes in the length of daylight and changes in temperature at night. Small leaves from a tree or bush which have the mixture of red, pink, purple, orange and yellow colours grabbed my attention. Because of being different is great, but it is hard. People know that.

We have had rain since august so the few times we have had sun I'm always superthrilled and of course I'm running eagerly out to catch the sunrays before they disappear again
