Today I visited the Golfclub-Haan-Duesseltal and I was allowed to follow this young golfer during his training.

A prestigious Golf Club in Malaysia Langkawi island, it is also a favourite club for many Malaysian VIPs.

Die Anlage liegt am Südufer des Tollensesees, eingebettet in die hügelige Moränenlandschaft. Der private Golfclub wurde 1995 als einer der ersten Golfclubs im Landes gegründet. Jede der 9 Spielbahnen hat ein unverwechselbares Design. Es ist eine spieltechnisch anspruchsvolle Anlage, die aber auch Anfängern Spaß bereitet.
Op 15 maart 1985, werd golfclub De Hoge Kleij opgericht. Als je Kamp Amersfoort bezoekt, kijk je uit op de golfbaan (zie foto). Het is nauwelijks te bevatten dat de golfbaan op deze locatie is aangelegd. Het open en vriendelijk ogende golfterrein, was net als zoveel andere gebieden daaromheen, deels Sperrgebiet. Gevorderd door de bezetter en streng verboden voor burgers. De eigenares van alle grond, ook van het perceel waarop Kamp Amersfoort werd gesticht (de familie De Beaufort), heeft zich het lot van de gevangenen altijd aangetrokken. Om de golfbaan te bereiken, moet elke golfer langs Kamp Amersfoort. In het clubhuis van Golfclub de Hoge Kleij is een herdenkingsplaat om aandacht te schenken aan de geschiedenis van Kamp Amersfoort.

Golf club De Hoge Kleij was constructed on 15 March 1985. When you visit the Dutch Amersfoort Concentration Camp, you see the golf course at the other side of the fence. It is hard to understand why the golf course was constructed at this location. The open and friendly-looking golf course, like so many other areas around it, was partly “Sperrgebiet” during World War II. (Restricted area by the German occupier and strictly prohibited for Dutch civilians).
To reach the golf course, every golfer has to pass the Amersfoort Concentration Camp memorial center. In the clubhouse of Golf club de Hoge Kleij is a commemorative plaque to remember the history of Concentration Camp Amersfoort.
