De Vilaseca. Blonde Ale. Aigua, ordi maltejat, llúpol i llevat. 5,6%. Prou bona. (Got a notification that this was in Explore! Can't seem to find it in 'Scout', so must have popped in and then out very briefly!!)
Not a bad one this Golden Ale..
Best of last couple I've tried!!
Spotted it because of the knight in amour!!
Harper's Golden Ale is a British pale ale sold in Aldi, brewed by Marston's. It is a 4.1%-4.5% ABV blonde/golden ale with citrus, tropical fruit, and gooseberry notes and a smooth, hoppy flavor with malty, biscuity undertones and a slightly bitter finish. It is known for being a budget-friendly, thirst-quenching, and balanced beer.
Beer profile
ABV: 4.1% - 4.5%
Brewery: Harper's Brewing Company (brewed by Marston's)
Style: English Golden Ale
Flavors: Citrus, tropical fruit, gooseberry, biscuit, and malt
Aroma: Citrus, tropical fruit, biscuit, and a hint of grapefruit
Appearance: Lightly hazy, copper-toned, with a white head and good carbonation
Taste: Smooth, gently citrussy, with a balanced hoppy and malty flavor
Finish: A slightly astringent, peppery bitterness

Not had this one before - bought it in the Lake District last week..!
Fell Runner 4.6% ABV – Golden Ale. (Blonde Ale)
This ale uses a blend of Cascade, Simcoe, and Citra hops, combined with extra pale and biscuit Munich malt. It has a smooth mouth feel with a fresh hoppy aroma and bitter finish.
Trying to sort some computer stuff..
Boring and headache making!!
So thought I'd try this beer!!
"Hatherwood Gold Ale.."
From Lidl..
Review says - A pleasant but not overly complex beer!
(Just like me..!!)
Style: Golden/Blonde Ale.
ABV: Around 4.1% - 4.5%.
Ingredients: 100% British barley, pale malts, five distinctive hops (like Fuggle & Styrian Golding), and sometimes Burton water.
Flavor Profile: Light, clean, refreshing, with mild malt notes and a balanced bitter finish.
Appearance: Clear, light golden color with a white head.
Brewery: Contract-brewed for Lidl by companies like Marston's or Shepherd Neame, under the Hatherwood brand.
"It's a solid, no-fuss session ale that delivers decent flavor and value, fitting into Lidl's strategy of offering accessible "craft" options, though it's generally considered a pleasant but not overly complex beer"
Charnwood Brewery’s Salvation Golden Ale was salvation for own my thirst, enjoyed on board a Great Central Railway train. The family-owned brewery is based in Loughborough. Its motto is “we brew happy beer”. It seems valid, as I alighted happy at Loughborough Central.
#GoldenAle #PaleAle #IndiaPaleAle #IPA #DryHopping #beer #ale #beer #cerveza #pivo #birra #instabeer #pornbeer #cervesa #olut #bière #beerporn #beergeek #beernerd #craftbeerlive #cervesaartesana #cervesaartesanal #beer #pivo #birra #cervesa #cerveza #olut #starkol #beerpic #bière #beerporn #beergeek #beernerd #craftbeerlive #hophead #craftbeernotcrapbeer #craftbeerporn #craftbeerlover #beerstagram #starkol #piwo #beerpic #bierre
Another beer from Aldi but brewed by Marstons.. Not as good as the Amber Ale one last week but okay.. Won't be buying anymore from Aldi. I think I prefer the other local brews I have been trying.!
De Granollers. Belgian Golden Strong Ale. Aigua, malt d'ordi (Pilsen, Melanoidin, Carapils i flocs de civada), mel de til·ler, llúpol (Columbus, Styrian Golding, Citra) i llevat. 26 EBC. 33 IBUs. 14%. Gust maltós, a caramel embolcallat d'alcohol. #BelgianBeer #StrongAle #BelgianStrongAle #GoldenAle #goldenStrongAle #BelgianAle #BelgianGoldenStrongAle #ale #localbeer #craftbeer #cervesaartesana #cervesaartesanal #beer #pivo #birra #cervesa #cerveza #olut #øl #bière #beerporn #beergeek #beernerd #craftbeerlive #hophead #craftbeernotcrapbeer #craftbeerporn #craftbeerlover #beerstagram #beerpic
Today’s lunchtime beer was a golden ale brewed by Athletic Brewing Co. of Stratford, Connecticut. I confess that I failed to notice the Non-Alcoholic label when I picked up the six-pack - normally a sufficient warning to look for something else. But this brew lived up to Athletic Brewing’s claims that the beer in not your usual flavourless, watery non-alcoholic stuff. The company has been brewing non-alcoholic craft beers since 2017, covering a range of beer types including IPAs.
From the back of the can:
It was a tasting that started like any other. Yet the night that ensued became one for the history books. The beer we sipped was so golden and delicious that it had everyone and their dog celebrating into the wee hours of the morning.
Such is the legend of our Tangle Foot. Brewed by former head brewer John Woodhouse, this magical blend of Challenger and Goldings hops holds a delicate floral aroma and a legendary status.
Characterful brews, colourful tails.
This Badger is anything but black and white.
Brewer: Badger Brewery, Blandford St. Mary, Dorset
Alcohol: 5% volume
Although, preferrably not in a bottle.
Avery Brewing is a company in the US (Boulder, Colorado). They brew a variety of ales, with... um, unique naming conventions. Salvation, for example, comes from their "Holy Trinity" line of beers. It's my favorite of that series, in that it's the least sweet. Goes well with pizza, burgers, more beer...
It's also an inside joke with a small group of my friends. When we're having a hard day, we'll say "I'm going to find Salvation", or "I'm going to speak to the Reverend" (their darker ale). Or rather, we did in our younger years. These days we just take a nap.
This photo: intended as an answer to the evil that is Satan's Blood. And yet, which is more evil? Both are devilishly delicious, and each packs its own punch.
Strobist: sb900 with full CTO gel at 1/16th, off of background. sb600 at 1/16th (softboxed) from above. sb600, bare, from camera right at 1/64th.
Note: this really needed some flags to build up the structure in the bottle. Next time!
From the label on the rear of the bottle:
"The Brewers Project, St James Gate, Dublin.
A group of enterprising brewers on a quest to explore new recipes, reinterpret old ones and collaborate freely to bring exciting beers to life. A beautifully balance ale with a rich golden hue. The subtle biscuit flavours of the malted barley perfectly compliment the pleasing bitterness and delicate fruit hop aroma, giving away to a refreshingly crisp finish".
This 500ml bottle is rated 2.3 UK units, 4.5% alcohol by volume.

De Puig-reig, amb origen a Santpedor. Lager, baixa fermentació. Aigua, malt d'ordi (Extra Pale Ale), llúpol (Citra) i llevat. 6 IBUs. 4,5%. Molt refrescant, seca. Lleugerament cítrica, equilibrada. A glass of Wild Swan from Thornbridge in Bakewell, Derbyshire, England, on cask at Euston Tap, London.
As the bartender had no idea what this beer was like I assumed that the "wild" in Wild Swan referred to a wild yeast or sour ale, which would have been perfect after all the dark and powerful ales I just had had. But, alas, that was not to be: Wild Swan is a (comparably) light Golden Ale of 3.5% abv.
It poured a hazy, straw yellow color with a white head. The aroma had a mild bitter-ish character. Mouthfeel was light, with a mild carbonation. Flavor. Well, to tell the truth I couldn't taste much else than a light hop bitterness. This beer was way out of its league after Thornbridge Bracia, Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron and Flying Dog Gonzo. But even on a quiet night, I'm not sure Wild Swan would have agreed with my palate - it just seemed so thin.
Day 2of the December Diary 2014 Project This years Theme...

Our two newest members of the 'Bear Family'... Rosetta & Philae...Named after the Rosetta Mission and comet landing... technically on Nov 12th (but actually Nov 13th in New Zealand).
I made these little guys for Craig for our Wedding Anniversary on Nov 13th... Being the 7th year, the theme was 'wool'... So I thought it would be fun to make some little Woollen Bears! %-)
So Rosetta is going to help me do the December Diary this year... Today she is sampling a bottle of New Zealand Mata Manuka Golden Ale. ;-D
i'll be taking a photo every day but probably won't manage to post them on a daily basis. I will endeavor to get online as often as I can tho! xXOo
My teachers always used to tell me "You could do sooo much better if you wanted to, but you just don't seem to care...". Well how about giving me something worth caring about? And since I kept on not caring, my grades always stayed slightly below average. Just like everybody else who didn't waste their youth listening to old dino-tards and their boring views and perspectives on crappy old beleifs and values.

Strobist. On either side of the bottle there is an A2 white piece of foam core in front of the bottle and an A2 diffusion panel behind the bottle forming a diamond shape around the bottle. An SB-900 is fired at 1/4 power. from from bottle, through the diffusion panel and reflects on the A2 white foam core.
The light from the diffusion panel highlights the edge of the bottle, and the reflection from the white panels lights the label and accentuates the form of the neck of the bottle.
There is a 3rd MK900 at 1/16 power , fired behind and above the bottle which adds some light to the bottle cap, and adds further reflection to the white foamcore panels. The background is a large A1 piece of black paper.
I've been wanting to photograph beer against a black backround for a long time, I tried with a Duvel tulip glass, as the shape of the glass is beautiful, but I struggled to light the beer using a cutout. I'll keep working on that, but wanted to post what I had.
