I captured this multi-ring glory from our plane as we were approaching Ushuaia, Argentina. If you look carefully at the inner shimmering ring on the right middle you can see the shadow of our airplane.

Per Atoptics of the UK, "glories are always directly opposite the sun... They are formed when light is scattered through backward by individual droplets."

It's morning glory time in Tennessee and I'm obviously addicted to the colors, curves and glow of them.

Visitors in traditional clothing stroll the grounds of the Ancient Thai capital of Ayutthaya.

As the sun rises it cascades through the trees as Autumn morning glory !

Happy Independence Day!

I found it very special how the flower is naturally hugged by the vine.

Another wild and dramatic day on my favourite beach. I was just too late for this gorgeous sky that was flying up channel. I needn't have worried as the day was full of wild weather. The waterfall at Cwm Mawr was bright in the morning sun, after the recent rain. Glory days by Pulp is perfect, as there's nothing more glorious than being the first and only footsteps on the beach.

Pink flowering gumtree - Western Australian native plant hybrid

My gorgeous Morning Glory blossom all aglow in my front garden! Happy new week my friends, enjoy =)

Sun set across the fields at Cliddesden. This is what I was photographing and then turned round to see the pink sky behind me in the earlier photo. Unfortunately you can just make out a crane on the building site in the distance. These beautiful fields where I take a lot of my shots have a building proposal on them! www.stanhd.com/

Morning glory (also written as morning-glory) is the common name for over 1,000 species of flowering plants in the family Convolvulaceae. Most morning glory flowers unravel into full bloom in the early morning. The flowers usually start to fade a few hours before the petals start showing visible curling. They prefer full solar exposure throughout the day, and mesic soils. Because of their fast growth, twining habit, attractive flowers, and tolerance for poor, dry soils, some morning glories are excellent vines for creating summer shade on building walls when trellised. It was first known in China for its medicinal uses, due to the laxative properties of its seeds. 34712

Due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up at this lake, was truly elated upon arrival because I always wanted to catch that mountain in all its morning glory, it is just too bad the winds were so high or I would have been on the lake with my kayak. I don't want to say what lake it is because I'll never get a camping spot otherwise. I camped in a reserved spot as I was expecting to get kicked out but the ones who reserved it never showed up. Guess it was meant to be....

Morning glory is the best name, it always refreshes me to see it.

(What's the Story) Morning Glory? is the second studio album by English rock band Oasis. Released on 2 October 1995 by Creation Records, it was produced by Owen Morris and the group's guitarist and main songwriter Noel Gallagher.

Noel Gallagher summed up his own perspective on the album's aesthetic in an interview with Rolling Stone in 1995; "Whilst [Definitely Maybe] is about dreaming of being a pop star in a band, What's the Story is about actually being a pop star in a band." The album has a notable anthemic theme to its songs, differing from the raw-edged rock of Definitely Maybe. The use of string arrangements and more varied instrumentation in songs such as "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Champagne Supernova" was a significant departure from the band's debut. This style had first been implemented by the band on their fifth single, "Whatever", released in December 1994. It was produced in conjunction with the London Symphony Orchestra, resulting in a much more pop-oriented and mellower sound; this would be the template that would come to define many of the songs on What's the Story. In the BBC documentary Seven Ages of Rock, former NME chief editor Steve Sutherland noted that "with Morning Glory, [Noel] began to take seriously the notion of being the voice of a generation"

(What's the Story) Morning Glory? is one of my all-time favorite albums.
