Fledgling goldfinch, fed by adult male, has done nothing to overheat the world and induce climate change.

My home town, seen from the Addington Hills viewpoint on Wednesday night. This area is also known as Shirley Hills and was in the national news today because most of the trees you can see here burnt down today in one of many wildfires that sprang up around London, on the hottest day ever recorded in the UK with a high of 40.3 Celsius, 104 Fahrenheit.

A slight improvement on last year's effort... The light was still total pants, but a much tighter group, and close enough to spit on, just the other side of the ditch !!... and seemingly happy enough to have me stood there. A jolly good start to the new year. :@) We are getting more and more here each year, I can't help but think it's another sign of global warming. :@\
'Bug of the Day'... Classed as a 'Rare vagrant', we had at least five males and one female which was observed mating and ovipositing at Knighton reserve in Dorset today. A sign of Global warming...

Frequento questo piccolo laghetto da moltissimi anni ed è la prima volta che lo vedo quasi secco, normalmente ci sono almeno due metri d'acqua. Sto parlando di una zona ricchissima di acqua, con sorgenti, fiumi e torrenti.
I have frequented this small lake for many years and it is the first time that I have seen it almost dry, normally there are at least two meters of water. I'm talking about an area very rich in water, with springs, rivers and streams.
Like many of my digital images this started off as one thing and ended up as something else! First, I put an early spring flower with a scene from my yard. At this point, it was all about the highlighted petal.
When I added some texture the flower appeared to be underwater. So I added some sun fish. Then I realized the terrestrial flower was underwater because the polar ice caps were melting, so I added the crumpled map of Antarctica being tossed into the water, and a background of an assembly diagram. Purposely more water than ice is showing.
To me, these symbols represent some people's belief that science can fix everything humans mess up, while at the same time discarding the scientific view that man is involved in global warming at all.
Today was unusually warm for November (17°C) and the air was filled with insects dancing in the golden rays of the afternoon sun.
The ridiculously warm weather has these guys migrating to their breeding pools already. In fact, I think some of them actually were out last week back in February! Spent some time with volunteers last night helping these guys across the road in the Skaneateles Conservation Area.
The Mendenhall Glacier, elevation 5184 feet, is 13.6 miles long in Mendenhall Valley, Auxe Bay, approximately 12 miles from downtown Juneau. The glacier has retreated 1.75 miles since 1929. The retreating is driven by warming climate linked to global warming.
