The Adegaon - Dewada - Agarzari range is home to a number of powerful male tigers - Paras, Taru and Shambhu who have made this range their home, Chota Dhadiyal who ranges from Dewada and Junona all the way up to the Tadoba range in the north, C1 and C2 who range between here and the Kolsa Range to the east.
Our time today is with the 4 year old C2 who was sired by the great Khali (T50), also known as the coal mines male, and Sharmili.
This photo illustrates the Flehmen Response (from German flehmen, to bare the upper teeth, to look spiteful), also called the flehmen position, flehmen reaction, flehmen grimace, flehming, or flehmening, is a behavior in which an animal curls back its upper lip exposing its front teeth, inhales with the nostrils usually closed, and then often holds this position for several seconds. It may be performed over a sight or substance of particular interest to the animal, or may be performed with the neck stretched and the head held high in the air. Flehmen is performed by a wide range of mammals, including ungulates and felids. The behavior facilitates the transfer of pheromones and other scents into the vomeronasal organ (VNO, or Jacobson's organ) located above the roof of the mouth via a duct which exits just behind the front teeth of the animal.

E tutto si muove in danza
luce rasa del tramonto
brillano le linee di cresta come oro
le punte dei rami graffiano di sangue le nubi e il cielo
tutto trema
la Luce fa come crede
Dio presiede
e scende l'ombra della notte
sicuri dell'alba di domani
Beato Sante, Italy febbraio 2023
And everything moves in dance
razor light of sunset
the crest lines shine like gold
the tips of the branches scratch the clouds and the sky with blood
everything shakes
the Light does as it pleases
God presides
and the shadow of night falls
sure of tomorrow's dawn

[in the secret recesses of the old cellar of the Domaine de Paviglia.
Smell of dust, rock and old printed paper. A place that has seen the splendor of the vats hosting the fragrant musts under the watchful and experts eyes of the friend -and adoptive grandfather- François-Noël Mercury. Here, the light passes through the old shutters and gently touches everything while transforming the darkness into a succession of light and obscurity that catches the eye and excites it. In every corner innumerable discoveries, every moment revitalizes the heart.]

The White-eyed Buzzard (Butastur teesa) is a slim brown buzzard with a distinct white iris. Adults have a white throat with a prominent dark stripe, yellow base of the bill, & a rufous tail. The dark tips to wing feathers are clearly visible in flight and there is often a white patch on its nape. The usual habitat is dry, open country or forest, where it mainly feeds on insects, rodents, & small mammals. This species is most often seen soaring alone in thermals or perched still. Groups of two or three may sometimes be seen.
