This evening it was all ice and health hazard at the eastward sister of Westrahorn. But with a handy set of crampons one could explore this deserted frozen world.

How many of us, myself included, have lost our bearings; we are no longer attentive to the world in which we live; we don’t care; we don’t protect what God created for everyone, and we end up unable even to care for one another! And when humanity as a whole loses its bearing, it results in tragedies like the one we have witnessed….The question has to be asked: Who is responsible for the blood of these brothers and sisters of ours? My wife and I ventured across the state yesterday to visit a couple of iced-over lighthouses. This is the St. Joseph North Pier Light. It was brutally cold, but as always, so much fun.
Today post obviously about climate change , just reminding of the reasons by Burning or cutting down trees reverses the effects of carbon sequestration and releases greenhouse gases (including carbon dioxide) into the atmosphere. Furthermore, deforestation changes the landscape and reflectivity of earth's surface, Global warming may increase the intensity and frequency of droughts in many areas, creating more intense and frequent wildfires.

Respecting one another takes us in the right direction. We all have our traditions and ways of life, which, if we choose to we can use to our benefit by learning from one another and appreciating and embracing our differences.
Globally they breed around the arctic from Scandinavia to Alaska, Canada and Greenland and migrate south in winter. They are a scarce breeding species in the UK, in Scotland. (Uk breeding 60 pairs).
One from yesterday, they were feeding on seeds and insects on the shoreline.

Sarah's cousin who emigrated to Australia 30 years ago. He rode across Europe starting from the east coast of Russia a couple of years ago and decided to ride his bike from Vancouver BC to Montreal down the east coast to Houston and up the west coast. So he had his bike shipped to Canada, got on the plane, and rode his bike clear across Canada and down to our place in DC. This morning he got back on his bike (a BMW) and hit the road again is on his way to Texas. A true free spirit and my hero!!!
