Photography, of the interior of a light bulb. Taken with the lens of the kit 16-50 and two extension tubes.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.
A window reflects a small percentage of the light that hits it. When light transitions from air to glass, most of it gets refracted, however, a small amount will also get reflected. Mirrors create a distorted reflection of the surrounding world, whereas, for glass materials, incident light also enters the material, refracts, and may reflect internally multiple times before re-emerging.
Used glass material behind paper cut out to reflect light. Used plastic cling wrap to add some texture.

After two years of pandemic and many photos of nature, landscapes, mountains, etc., it was a relief to once again get structures made of steel and glass in front of the lens.
The Circle at Zurich Airport is far from being able to compare with big cities. But for once it was not mountains made of stone, but man-made buildings.
What a relief! :-)

New York City - January 4, 2023: Illuminated U. S. Flag at the United States Army Recruiting Office in Times Square, New York City. This recruiting station was constructed in 1945. The lights of Broadway are reflected in the illuminated American flag at 43rd Street and Broadway.

New York City - February 20, 2023: A Brooklyn-bound New York Ferry passes a barge on the East River with the view of Lower Manhattan in the background. This view from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade is the best view of Lower Manhattan. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade, also called the Esplanade, is a 1,826-foot-long platform and pedestrian walkway cantilevered over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Interstate 278) in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York City.
The architectural highlight of Messe Basel is this building by Herzog and de Meuron. Particularly spectacular is the facade and the round opening, under which there is a bus stop for the Basler Verkehrsbetriebe ... unique and a must for fans of architecture and photography.
At the tram stop in front of the train station in Basel there is a lot of activity, day and night.
Travelers arrive and depart. Basel residents go out or return home, from work, from the theater, a visit to a restaurant. Everyone has their story and their reasons for waiting for the tram.

“Ah, September! You are the doorway to the season that awakens my soul... but I must confess that I love you only because you are a prelude to my beloved October.”

Looking up inside a modern building in Milano, at Piazza Gae Aulenti. It’s an art installation with golden trumpets that reaches over 4 floors.

“August was nearly over - the month of apples and falling stars, the last care-free month for the school children. The days were not hot, but sunny and limpidly clear - the first sign of advancing autumn.”
― Victor Nekrasov
In the Appenzell Alpstein, more precisely on the Schwägalp, a path with many small lanterns leads through the forest during the cold and dark season. This is of course beautiful when there is also snow.
We have completed the path shortly after the sun has set. The golden and the blue hour, but also afterwards in the darkness showed great moods. Fortunately, the trail is not too long, because it was freezing cold. This was good for the quality of the pictures, but was at the expense of cold fingers :-)

Alcea is a genus of about 60 species of flowering plants in the mallow family Malvaceae, commonly known as the hollyhocks. They are native to Asia and Europe.
Hollyhocks are annual, biennial, or perennial plants usually taking an erect, unbranched form. The herbage usually has a coating of star-shaped hairs. The leaf blades are often lobed or toothed, and are borne on long petioles. The flowers may be solitary or arranged in fascicles or racemes. The notched petals are usually over three centimeters wide and may be pink, white, purple, or yellow. The fruit is a schizocarp, a dry disc divided into over 15 sections that contain seeds.
