Le chevreuil est une espèce crépusculaire et nocturne. Son gite diurne se trouve dans les fourrés ou les buissons, les fougères ou les hautes herbes. De l'automne au début du printemps, les chevreuils vivent en général en petites bandes dont la constitution peut varier, mais dont les individus restent fidèles aux même cantonnements. En été, les animaux sont solitaires.
Le rut se situe en fin juillet et au mois d'août. Contrairement à beaucoup d'espèces semblables, le chevreuil mâle ne réunit pas une harde. Il se contente de poursuivre une femelle pendant une courte période, puis l'abandonne pour en trouver une autre. Si l'accouplement se produit à cette période, le développement de l'embryon ne commence qu'au mois de janvier.
La mise bas a lieu au mois de mai ou de juin. Elle est le plus souvent de deux jeunes
Le chevreuil se nourrit d'herbes, de feuilles d'arbres, de glands, de champignons, d'écorce et de bourgeons.

Eastern meadowlark is songbird that belongs to the blackbird family. There are 17 subspecies of eastern meadowlarks that can be found in the eastern parts of North, Central and South America. Eastern meadowlark inhabits grasslands, prairies, pastures, agricultural fields and areas near the roads. Accelerated development of agriculture and pollution of the ground with pesticides negatively affect survival of eastern meadowlarks in the wild. Despite these factors, population of eastern meadowlarks is still large and stable.
I found this one along my favorite road. Joe Overstreet Road in Osceola County, Florida.
In de nasleep van de coronapandemie reden er extra treinen naar de kust. Iedereen kreeg een gratis ticket van de NMBS aangeboden (op bestelling). Dat lokte tijdens de zomer van 2022 heel wat volk naar de kust. Vanuit Leuven werden er 2 heen en retourtjes tussen Leuven en Oostende met een sandwich m5-stam ingesloten tussen 2 21ers of 27ers gereden, of een combinatie van beiden. Uitzonderlijk werd met 2 locs op kop gereden in geval van een storing van de loc aan staart (die telkens op sleep werd gezet).
's Morgens reed het ledig materieel vanuit Hasselt naar Leuven en 's avonds opnieuw terug. Dat leverde bij omleidingen wel interessante reiswegen op. Zo reed deze trein normaalgezien via lijn 35, echter via lijn 21 en 36 werd ook gereden. Tussen Gent en Brugge reed deze trein dan via L50A. Tijdens werken op deze lijn moest er omgeleid worden via lijn 75, 73 en 66.
Op een zonnige maar koude zaterdagmorgen was het de 2702 die de extra trein naar Oostende mocht brengen. Op de middag keerde het geheel terug. Het was dan de 2108 die met de 18006 richting Leuven spoorde. Ter hoogte van Gits werden enkele omleiders opgewacht waaronder ook de IC's van Knokke/Blankenberge en Oostende.

It's a hot summer night and CPR's Megantic local has arrived back at Sherbrooke. With the restroom stop, coffee, and good ole' ribbing out of the way, it's time get back to work and yard the train. Next up will be to get a drink for the MLW RS18 from a local fuel provider.

GITA SUL LAGO.
Il Lago di Bled in Slovenia è una piccola meraviglia color verde smeraldo incastonata tra le montagne, al centro, e raggiungibile solo in barca, c’è una piccolissima isola da cui si sente provenire il suono di una campana mentre un castello abbarbicato su uno spuntone di roccia lo domina dall’alto.
L'isolotto al centro del Lago di Bled può essere raggiunto salendo a bordo di incantevoli imbarcazioni a remi chiamate Pletna. Vengono fabbricate da costruttori locali e la loro origine è molto antica: risalgono al 1590 e i barcaioli stessi (pletnar) si tramandano il mestiere di generazione in generazione.

Old school maintenance is witnessed at Sherbrooke, Quebec. The asbestos car off the Quebec Central was in need of a truck swap out and with an air compressor to lift the flat and a hand brake applied 40 foot box car to keep things in place, it wasn't long before it was time for a Labatt's!
Scenes like this can still be found on short lines with very limited facilities, but try this with one of the "big guys" today???..... you just might get walking papers! It's UNSAFE!!!! AAAAHHHH!
