Incentivar el liderazgo y la participación de las mujeres en la transformación del mundo a través de la tecnología fue el objetivo de Empower 2019, evento que se desarrolló el lunes 28 de octubre en el Teatro Centro de Arte, en la ciudad de Guayaquil.
Realizado como una iniciativa de la organización Girls in Tech Ecuador, Empower 2019 fue coorganizado por la ESPOL y otras instituciones de educación superior.
Durante el evento, estudiantes y profesoras de colegios y universidades participaron en charlas.

As well as the Project Connect talks, Adriana was in New Zealand for a series of meetings/roundtable discussions and dinners throughout the country - including visits to the Consul General's residence, BizDojo Wellington, The Mindlab, GRID Auckland, Creative HQ Wellington, The Ministry of Awesome Christchurch, St Margret's College Christchurch, the Christchurch City Council, Jade Software, and meetings with the embassy's Youth Councilors. I met Mei Lin at the GigaOM hosted ETel Launch Pad the night before and knew she was just the right addition to the Girls in Tech event the following night. Of the six companies which presented, she was the only female founder in the male-dominated telecom and mobile space. To add to the great backstory, Mei Lin is moving to SF from Perth, Australia to ramp up Migg33. Be on the lookout for her and her co-founder Steven Goh!
