This wooden case radio is Model 683-A and was made by Canadian Westinghouse in Toronto from 1941-1942.
It has 31 Metre Band (top line), Standard Broadcast (middle line) and Short Wave (bottom line).
The figure on top is a twistable hand-made doll by Kate Church of Nova Scotia.

I was intending to take a photo of this metal dinosaur growling at this yellow sculpture. When I saw the photo larger I realized that there was a blue reflector in between the dinosaur and the yellow sculpture!

Standing there with my high-end DSLR, I asked if we could get a picture of all the kids sitting on the fire engine, and stepped back to get a wide shot, only to have this happen.

I find it ironic that Flickr Friday would expect photographers to go out of their way to shoot such a picture in an allotted time. So I'm posting an old one on my own!
