This image shows a view from the beach to the pier at Zingst at the Baltic Sea. It was cold and a bit misty, an exposure time of 4 minutes led to this result. At the end of the pier there is the diving gondola.
Hall mean to dry to something in German and for most of its existence was called just that Hall. It wasn’t until the 20th century that Hall’s name was changed to Schwäbisch Hall by the Nazi party in 1933 one would guess due to the fact it is in Swabia, imaginative the Nazi’s were not 😊.
Hall has rerouted its river somewhat with branching canal channels making a beautiful island park in the middle of the river. This area sits in the middle of the lower village which gives you some great vantage points for taking photos and great place for a stroll.
Another Hall claim to fame is that they have a German “American football” team and have won the national championships twice, they also can boast the first European ever to be drafted without playing College Football in North America. This scene is from the center island looking back toward the rise of the village on the left channel of the river.
