Seemingly secluded from the rest of the world, this lowermost but typical side valley of the Simmental is welcoming place. The Diemtigtal valley is a 16km-long oasis of wilderness and pristine beauty.
I was quite excited when I spotted this Kingbird land in this blooming tree while I was enjoying a round of golf in Virginia. I had my camera ready since I knew I would be seeing lots of birds along the fairways. This was a case of being at the right place at the right time. I got several shots and even a flight shot as it left the tree but this one seemed to have the right pose. I love spring for the opportunity to get shots like this!
Malin Head (Irish: Cionn Mhálanna) is located on the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, Republic of Ireland and is the most northerly point of the island of Ireland. The northernmost tip is the headland named Banba's Crown located at latitude 55.38ºN. Malin Head gives its name to the Malin sea area. There is a weather station on the head, which is one of 22 such stations whose reports are broadcast as part of the BBC Shipping Forecast.
Ptolemy's Geography (2nd century AD) described a point called Βορειον (Boreion, "the northern") which probably referred to Malin Head.
Banba's Crown on Malin Head is the most northerly point of the Irish mainland. Banba was one of the mythical queens of Ireland. Banba's Crown is about 16 km (10 mi) north of the village of Malin. The island of Inishtrahull is further north, located approximately 10 km (6 mi) north east of Malin Head. Further north still is the most northerly landfall of Ireland, Tor Beg rock.

Malin Head is home to small businesses such as pubs, restaurants, shops and a large call centre called Forward Emphasis International, which employs many of the local residents.

The Gray Jay was chosen by the Royal Canadian Geographic Society as the national bird of Canada in 2018. I took this photo back in 2017 in Algonquin Park, Ontario Canada.
Standing nearly 150' tall, this isolated ridge of yellowish white sandstone is home to a unique double arch. The larger arch is nearly 100' in diameter.
The formation is named for the first full-time editor of National Geographic Magazine and, later, president of the National Geographic Society, Gilbert Hovey Grosvenor (1875-1966).
Just south of Kodachrome Basin State Park, Grosvenor Arch is deservedly one of the most popular features in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
While traveling through southern Utah to visit National Parks, this became of interest to us, because we previously lived near the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro Station in Bethesda, Maryland.
At the Südbahnhof, the RE coming in from Fulda on its way to the Hauptbahnhof, and and ICE going, well, somehere further away than Fulda. And we hav ethe European Central Bank in the background.
