Description: Millions of people across the United States are opting to vote early in the US presidential elections. The official election day will be on November 5th, but 47 states and the District of Columbia (D.C.) allow voters to vote by mail or go to an early voting booth to cast their ballot.
On the ballot this year are Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz for the Democrats, and Donald Trump with his running mate JD Vance for the Republican party.
Voters in New York City lined up at early polling stations on October 26th, 2024. As of 3:18 PM EST on the 26th, a total of 38,610,953 early votes had been cast, according to the University of Florida's Election Lab. According to the Census Bureau, in the 2020 presidential election, 155 million people turned out to vote — that’s around 66.8% of eligible voters in the US. It’s too early to say what voter turnout for the 2024 election will be.

Here we go again: the next election is close! The most important one this year, since it's the general election. We elect the members to our German parliament, the Bundestag.
Also again, I'm doing early voting. My decision is already made, so no need to wait till election day on September 27th.
