Ireland goes to the polls on 25th February to elect a new Dáil Eireann. In the Republic of Ireland, Members of Parliament are called Teachta Dála (or TD for short) and 165 deputies are elected by proportional representation using a single transferable vote in multi-seat constituencies.
Mick Wallace is a building developer, political activist, soccer club manager, vinyard owner and Renaissance man. He is also an outspoken indpendent candidate in the most important General Election in the history of the state in the Wexford constituency.

Trump includes the likeness of his orange hair, reducing the person to a hair-do. So without typing his name, most people passing by will grasp the meaning very quickly: "don't accept the orange-headed candidate to lead the country and society."

Haringey Council's Labour group was pretty much split 29-19 in repeated votes at its Annual General Meeting last night.
But after a long-overdue revolt from within the Koberite ranks, the critical and independent-minded Cllr Joe Ejiofor was elected by 25 votes to 22 as Deputy Leader.
